Chelsea v. Spurs Stamford Bridge 2:30 PM, May 2, 2024 Who knew we had a game today? Some key points to consider whilst watching this game. * How many Mudryk shots will end up as throw ins? * Mudryk loves God. Why does God despise Mudryk? * Will Mudryk get a tattoo while he's playing? * Will we miss Enzo's cooking (no)? * Would another manager do better with this set of players? (yes) * Will we have any subs? If you remember, in November, we drubbed Spurs 4-1 at the Toilet Bowl after Spurs got reduced to 9 men. Those poor bastards. Today they will exact revenge. We will lose pretty comfortably. I was thinking back to 2003 - 2005 when we had real wingers. Wingers to ********ing burn, man. And no one took the time to enjoy it. Joe Cole. Arjen Robben. Damien Duff. SWP. Two quality players for each position. Now, we have none for any position. Speaking of Joe Cole. What a player. I've watched this maybe 20,000 times, I still don't know how he skinned the entire United defense and banged Sir Alex's wife during this play. (Start at 4:11) And I'll always remember this Scotty Parker tackle on Cole. One of the two best right there. Anyway, 3-1 loss today.
I like the line-up even if pooch had no choice. Check out the bench, we may not be able to field a senior team for the last match at the rate we are visiting the med-evac
Today is all about HOW and WHEN the Poch uses the subs. Substitutes M. Bettinelli C. Casadei Deivid Washington Z. Sturge J. Tauriainen L. Castledine J. Acheampong T. George K. Dyer
I get Conor with all the CM and then playing him out of position because of it. If we’re not playing him as an 8 and rather a 10 move on. If we’re play him as an 8 then keep him. Knowing we need to loan out the rest beyond the 3 main plus 1. Trev I don’t. We have a bunch of injury prone CBs. He can play CB, RCB, RB and DM in a pinch. He wants to be here and doesn’t mind not having a huge role.
He really does struggle more from the 10 than the wing but if we’re going to take the next step we need him to improve from there.
agreed - it would not be bad idea for him to switch with Mudryck every now and then - keep the Spurs on their toes
The issue is Palmer would be better off switching with Noni to the RW but we don’t want him through the middle. Ideally all 3 can interchange for periods of time.
