Glad we have so many experts around here to tell us how it is.

So what about guys like McBride and Mathis who spent time in college and much of their career in MLS?

Arguably our best as of right now. 8/15/09.

If Charlie leads Ligue 1 in scoring... wow... I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I heard Arsenal likes players from Ligue 1 & they just sold Adebayor, right?;)

Sochaux finished 7th, 14th, and 14th in Ligue 1 (out of 20 teams) the past 3 years. Unlike 'Gladbach & Hull, they aren't among the favorites to go down, plus, neither Hull or 'Gladbach has qualified for Europe any time in the recent past. In that regard, they're closer to being a Fulham then they are to being a Hull.

Sochaux are definitely among the favorites to go down. They were very much in the relegation battle last season, and also the season before that.

Uh, no, they're not a "favorite".

Ligue 1 relegation odds are here:

Hull would be considered a favorite to be relegated.
    Premiership relegation odds here:

OK, granted, 'Gladbach's not a favorite either.

I'm tempted to bet on Auxerre to get relegated, at those odds.

Somehow, Sochaux have managed to stay up in L1 for more seasons than any other club in France (62). This is their 9th consecutive season in the French top flight.
Let's just hope they don't pull a Newcastle.

Also, according to the Canal + commentators, Charlie is the captain of the U.S. team. Huh.

Could've scored three if he wanted to. But he felt it was important not to chaux off after coming back from international duty.

Charlie Davies did not get a rating from l'Equipe, I assume because he was subbed in. Or maybe he broke their scale.
