There is a "from Germany" in there. He rates the teams than finished above you in the BuLi higher. Two of them being the finalists
Didn't we just convincingly beat Leverkusen two weeks ago? I think you'd be better of against them, but whatever.
You also beat BVB last year and even in the last years after they reemerged as contenders Schalke gave them a hard time He sees Schalke as more inconsistent which you guys kinda are. I mean if you guys faced Metalist I don't think I would be posting here right now He likes his chances more. That doesn't mean he doesn't consider Schalke the better team
Well, they didn't exactly look their best until Steaua were tired, but at least Schalke won...unlike Chelsea. Yikes, a 2-1 loss at home. We move to the top of the group for now. We'll see how long that lasts.
Aogo and KPB have been fantastic signings. Uchida, who I have been critical of, had a very good match today in the W3-1.
Individual quality of players like Farfan, Draxler and Boateng saved the day for Keller. Still Schalke's team performance was woefully bad at times. I mean you played freaking Steaua Bucarest at home and Schalke was getting into serious trouble in the late 1st and early 2nd half. This could get you into serious trouble against Basel whereas I think Chelsea should be an opponent well suited for your stile of play. Well let's wait and see.
They weren't tired It's just that stupid stupid goal messed with their psyche. Anyway the group is interesting. In the end you guys scored 3 and got the 3 points
I think it was fatigue as well. Schalke always looks better as the game goes on and as both teams tire. They're not good at breaking down physical and energetic defences.
Given how much this team's form varies it's good to build some confidence by getting off to a good start. Gives them something to build off in Basel.
Well that was some resolve. Much better approach to the game than what we saw against Hoffenheim. What was up with that protest? Anyone get a good look at what the banner said besides Gazprom?
Good stuff! Considering how unlikely a return trip to the CL for this time next year is looking, a trip to the knockout stage in this competition would sure take away some of the fiscal strain.
Every additional cent is welcome but make no mistake. We need the CL group stage, regularly, to make progress. Don't believe the crap Peters is saying. We would have to cut at least an additional 10m or so from the payroll if the EL should be enough. I also wouldn't write off the season. More than three quarters of the matches are still to be played. That is a lot of points to make up the current gap.
Luckily, the teams outside the top 3 are very inconsistent and have a lot of weaknesses. A lot of them are in transition(rebuilding).
I think even Bayer Levermedicine will prove inconsistent as the season continues. I really like the way they play, but I question whether they have the depth to maintain their current form.
The ten points we're back on Leverkuse is a big hurdle, so I wouldn't aim at them for the moment. Secure 4th place and then look what is still possible.
I am not saying they will challenge Bayern for the title but I think they will finish comfortably in 3rd and probably even challenge Dortmund for 2nd just like last season. They are beating the mid table/lower teams pretty comfortably just like season. If Kiessling gets injured, they could struggle but Kiessling has stayed injury free for a long time now.
I think schalke will get 4th again when it's all said and done.. Thank the German coefficient ranking
Finally saw an article about it today: http://www.businessghana.com/portal/sports/news.php?op=getNews&news_cat_id=&id=39036
http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...chive/latest-videos/8979557/away-days-schalke That is funny, as far as I can understand it. ^^
Please at least get a draw at Chelsea... Mou got his tactics right away, mou loves to sit deep and counter.. *see UEFA supercup
Yeah, I don't know why Keller has completely changed the way we play. We had a decent counter attacking team, and Keller changed the system to be possession oriented. We're always going to get burned by a team like Chelsea.
I wasn't expecting a win today, but that Hildebrand blunder was tough to watch. Hildebrand is such a hot&cold guy, at a position where you really want consistency.
