Francesc Fabregas could make history tomorrow night. If the 16-year-old Spanish playmaker features against Rotherham in the Carling Cup he will become the youngest player ever to represent Arsenal in a first-team game.

Arsène Wenger has already named his squad for the tie, see below. As usual, it is made up of younger professionals with a smattering of experience.

Fabregas, who is also known as "Cesc", is one of six teenagers named. At 16 years, 177 days, he would beat Jermaine Pennant, who at 16 years 319 days, made his debut as a substitute at Middlesbrough in the same competition on November 30, 1999.

Fabregas agreed to join Arsenal this summer from Barcelona, after winning the Player of the Tournament and Golden Boot for Spain in the Under-17s World Cup.
