Meanwhile in Dallas, still losing 1-0 vs Santos. Chaco missed a PK.

Still nothing official from what I could find. Chances are he'll miss the next game.

so it's 10 to 12 days out for Silva.

They should give him an extra week off just to be sure.

We've had a slew of terrible signings lately so I think most of us Azulinos are a bit gun shy. As always, it's - wait and see.

Roco is a CB that can also fill at DM: a few seasons ago he left UC to join Spain's Elche, and was one of their 2 best players when they were relegated (alongside striker Jonatas). A lot of Chileans would like for him to finally get a shot at the starting CB job with the NT, next to Medel: at this point he's JAP's 1st defensive substutition/CB off the bench. It does seem odd that Cruz Azul already have el Maza Rodríguez and assuming you guys usually play a back four, then you'd have 2 really tall CBs.

Silva is a DM, that can also play CB and RB: very good ballwiner, distributes the ball smartly though he can be called for a lot of fouls. Was one of Chile's best performers during this year's Copa's 2nd round, though he's not a "1st choice" starter. I am sure you saw how he came up huge in the Final, though.

Didn't get a chance to see the game but from my perspective, an away point at Monterrey is not too bad. But they sure need to start to get some wins at home.

A while ago (quite a while ago now that I think about it) Billy was looking for place where he would build a new stadium for Cruz Azul. I think this was around the time when they left Estadio Azteca. The excuse back then was that the city would now allow them to build the stadium. My guess is that Billy didn't want to 'work' with the city to get the stadium done. I'm wondering if Billy is now regretting not pushing harder to get something done back then. It will be a lot more expensive now.

Finally, a win !! 3-1 vs Santos. Cristaldo leading the way. A ghost PK awarded to Santos.
Ref made it even by also awarding one to Cruz Azul. ;)

Hokey Smokes we won a game ! I guess technically we did win a Copa MX game already but they really needed a league game. Didn't like how we played most of the league game but those guys were dying for a win. Now let's see if they can follow that up. Atlas looked good against Chivas this week so it's going to be a tough game.
