Our saviour has his own website:

    http://www.carlitostevez.com.ar/eng/index.php

I see there is a forum on there. Alas it is written in spanish, which is not unsurprising. I was wondering whether we should all sign up to this and effectively start a campaign for Carlitos to stay? If enuff of us went on there maybe we could just sway things in our favour. If the site gets mega-hits then you never know...it can't do any harm can it?

I can contribute to this site from work as I'm already signed up, but the work security will not let me start a new registration on a website. Anyone else want to try this? I'll sign up to it when I get home tonight.

Count me in but like you I need to wait until I am home to register.

I think we need to show the level of our appreciation and support.

Did you know that Carlitos Tevez is an anagram of 'Cmon you ammas' in Spanish?

I had no idea Brum but I like it! In that case I'll definitely sign up tonight and I look forward to seeing your anagram on there!

Of course I did just make that up Kent but I'm sure we can invent lots of other reasons for Carlitos to love us and stay.:p

Carlitos was born on the feast day of Thor, the Norse God who stuck down upon the earth from the heavens at the exact moment of his birth. What did he use to crack the earth in the announcement of Carlitos' birth? Why, a hammer of course.

Tevez is known by the nickname The Bull. Significantly the densest population of Bull terriers in Europe is within the five mile radius of Upton Park.

Carlitos is infamous for his wonky teeth - proof positive of his desire to remain in England.

Carlitos favourite folk song is 'if I had a hammer'.

As a child on the streets back in Argentina Carlitos used to make ends meet by selling irons.

Not one of these is in any way shape or form anything but made up on the spot. Feel free to pedal them about the internet as truth.:D

Kent, there appears to be English, Spanish and Portugese forums on that site. The English General Chat forum seemed to be full of rather distasteful thread titles.

I didn't realise that WH, I just clicked on Forum and then saw the first few topics were had titles written in spanish, so I assumed that they all would be. Maybe I should take another look - or just forget it! Doesn't seem to be floods of people wanting to do it anyways, although I suppose it's early days yet. I'll wait and see until tonight.

    Cheers

Hmmm I've just re-visited the site and found the english threads you mentioned WH. It would seem that the Forums are not moderated with quite the same resolve as this one! It's a pity as I felt it would be a good focus for Hammers fans wanting Tevez to stay, but looking at the thread titles it would get rather lost in the deluge of internet porn!

I suppose we should perhaps go through the official WHU site instead. Perhaps they could set up an area where fans could click & sign. I'm sure he knows how much he is loved by the fans but it would still be good to have that represented by something tangible. I suppose by the same token a link like that would be open to abuse.

For those who mentioned it, there are preparations going on for a movie about Carlitos' life (source ole.clarin.com). All dramatic elements are there, the difficult childhood in Fuerte Apache, the successes in Argentina, Brazil, and then the great escape of WHU...

Will post more info when/if it gets released.
