Quite right - but, thats exactly why they were kept apart in the semis. It's the semi-final. Best draw possible would be Chels v man U the Final. best draw possible man u - pool. i repeat, there was nothing random about this drawing.
I said it's the best possible drawing - as in what the football powers that be would have wanted too see. Tradition of the two clubs involved, pre-match hype etc etc etc. They are/were and will, be considered for some time yet, the two biggest clubs in English football.
Anyone else finding the "coincidence" of small clubs getting favourable draws as of late a bit...odd.
January 10th is a long way off. I'll believe it when i see it. If they go out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup - that opinion of his will change mighty quick i'll bet.
I don't know why, but for some reason, I'm scared for Chelsea if they play the reserves and not the regulars. I guess my reason for that is that Chelsea's reserves are most teams 1st team players and they will have all the pressure in the world to beat manu reserves.
Absolute Bollocks... if they were into the business of rigging draws... Arsenal would not have played ManU today... the prospect of a ManU vs. Arsenal final or an Arsenal vs Chelsea final would be HUGE... another ManU vs. Arsenal match with some importance with the first teams playing? Possibly top of the table clash? Nah... I think its a fair draw.
