For all of the attacking players, we've been pretty poor. Kepa has kept us in it. CHO, 19 or no, I don't get the hubub around this bub. Ziyech is lazy looking until he isnt. RLC needs games but he shows so much of what he could be.
RLC carves out another chance. He has had a very solid game with his driving runs and his link up play. Pulisic over ziyech is going to be such a massive upgrade..... No messing about now. On comes lukaku! (And ross who may fancy playing against old teammates so who knows).
For the fourth game in a row f****** Aston Villa giving us more trouble than Manchester City or Real Madrid!
Yeah, he hasn't kicked on at all, if anything he's regressed. There's no luxury of a run of games in this side to show your worth with so much talent available. You have to take your chances and more often than not he hasn't.
The best thing you can say about this match is, the fellas who don't normally play are showing WHY they don't normally play.
Excellent challenge from ross to top that counter. Way too casual on the left to give it away but will give credit where it's due, that was a quality defensive effort.
Really ended up being a 31321 where Ruben was essentially almost a sweeper on top of the back three. It was a weird formation for me, but we looked pretty good, particularly early and then for most of the 2nd half when the match opened up. RLC was my MOTM hands down. I'm biased because I've wanted him to make it here for like 6 years but he looked like he did for Sarri before that damn Gillette Stadium injury. He had a bit of Kova in him today in terms of driving forward in possession and for a dude his size, he's really a polished dribbler. Really really impressed with his play today.
