Living Sky Sports released a very preliminary drawing of what they plan to do in Saskatoon 📣To our soccer fans: the stadium research at @PrairielandPark is officially underway!🙌 After investigating both a North/South pitch orientation vs East/West, engineers convinced us that design elements should be based on a North/South. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks! pic.twitter.com/GeoMvvkn2b— LivingSkySports (@LivingSkySport1) April 9, 2021 A CPL player played CCL last night. York United loaned newly acquired 23 years old Argentine forward Lisandro Cabrera to Atletico Pantoja ahead of their match against Monterrey. He came from the Boca Junior system and has played games in Argentina and Colombia He's impressed the club's top brass since arriving on loan & now our boy Lisandro Cabrera is set to play a major role for @atleticopantoja in their clash with @Rayados in @TheChampions. Catch the game live @onesoccer from 10pm ET.https://t.co/0ygOCP1Pz6— York United FC (@yorkutdfc) April 8, 2021
Make sure they pay for the pitch. https://soccerstadiumdigest.com/201...Rayo OKC was, turf pallets under his authority.
This turf’s divisive story continues, as it currently sits in a shipping container in the East Bay, the ownership disputed between the Roots and ousted founder Benno Nagel (although according to Nagel, it’s not much of a dispute since it needs to be retired, anyway). Not sure what the Roots will have for their home opener in a little over a month and a half.
Red Bulls are looking to put a team in CPL in a city starting with a M - Montreal, Mississauga or Moncton I was involved with the legal team that brought Atletico to Ottawa. I'm hearing rumblings of RB interested in bringing a #CanPL club to a Canadian city that starts w/ M. This is all I'm allowed to leak.— Boran Santhor (@Soccer_Fanatiq) May 8, 2021 The guys looks legit as someone verified his story and he was indeed there to bring AM to Kolkata and Ottawa Legit. Pacific FC made a proposal to renovate and potentially expand the Royal Athletic Park Downtown Victoria. It looks like the league are fast learners and wish to replicate the success of Halifax. It's no secret that the league is unhappy with the stadium and location in Langford at the moment. This could be a move to pressure Langford in removing the Hydro pole near the venue while getting Pacific more favourable terms. The stadium would have a natural grass pitch and would start with 4k seats. It would serve as the venue for Canadian Championship games, playoffs and friendlies while being the home of local clubs and the future BC League 1 club expected to be the Highlanders. It's safe to assume that if this move is a success and there aren't any significant changes at Langford, they might move in permanently after expanding the stadium to 12k seats. If they're looking at Mississauga in the GTA anyway they should go to North York instead. Then we could have another RBNY.
After further investigation, this has been debunked, sorry about posting this prematurely. However, the reports on Bundesliga and it's top clubs looking at Fraser Valley is very much valid.
This is the kind of signings that's needed for CPL clubs to not only raise the level of the league but actually put up a fight in the 2023 Champions League. No matter how much I believe in the league, they will need to raise the salaries to attract seasoned internationals that can help the clubs compete in CCL I believe this is the 2nd guys with extensive Championship experience they have signed. 🚨 NEW PLAYER SIGNINGWelcome forward Joe Mason (ENG) to the Cavalry FC roster. He is signed to a multi-year deal for the upcoming season of the Canadian Premier League on a free transfer from @MKDonsFC👉Read more: https://t.co/fi666WGfCE#CavsFC #CanPL @CPLsoccer pic.twitter.com/W0upHCPt1o— Cavalry FC (@CPLCavalryFC) May 10, 2021
More like League One experience in the last few seasons. He certainly had potential when he was young, but he largely came to nothing and is definitely on the downward spiral of his career now. He was very uninspiring with the Rapids. I’m not expecting much of him for the Cavalry..
Just like Vitoria was meh in MLS and has been doing well in Portugal. Or Francisco Acuna who went back to Liga MX after his performance with Atletico Ottawa. Anything can happen in a different environment and I'd rate Tommy Wheeldon Jr. as one of the best coaches in Canada. (He was considered for the CF Montréal job) This is year 3 - the point is that they are getting better quickly at how they do things. It's more about the growth and rapid progress than where they stand as of today in the region. It's night and day from year 1 international signings.

This has to be a sign of things to comes. After letting go of the Gold Cup and Champions League, the rights to CONCACAF League have moved from TSN to MediaPro Canada's Onesoccer. NEW on OneSoccer 🚨As part of our agreement to deliver @TheChampions to our channel, we are happy to confirm that we will be showing the Scotiabank @Concacaf League in Canada! This includes @ForgeFCHamilton's upcoming matches, too 🔨📺 https://t.co/hishXepRT3 pic.twitter.com/YepaaMqHRv— OneSoccer (@onesoccer) June 27, 2021 TSN and Sportsnet having let go of some of their top soccer analyst who have been hired by Onesoccer, it really looks like the Canadian rights to MLS are next. Getting MLS would be massive for the company, plateform and ultimately the Canadian Premier League as it would become the 1 stop channel to get Canadian soccer content. The extra subscription would have CPL soccer which will grow the fantasy of the league. Potential lineup All Canadian National teams (men & women) games excluding Olympics and World Cup. (WCQ are on Onesoccer) CONCACAF Nations League CONCACAF Gold Cup CONCACAF Champions League CONCACAF League Canadian Championship Canadian Premier League League 1 Ontario Major League Soccer* (Canadian rights) Liga MX Compeonato Brasileiro Serie A Ligue 1 (Lille games only) DFB-Pokal Chinese Super League Spain Women's Division DAZN Canada holds all the rights to Premier League, EFL, UEFA club competitions, Serie A, Jupiler Pro League Sportsnet holds the rights to Bundesliga Bein Sports holds Copa Libertadores, La Liga, Primeira Division, Ligue 1 (Shared with TV5), Turkey and others. TSN, RDS, TVA Sports currently have the Canadian rights to MLS but most believe MediaPro Canada will outbid them next time.
"BuT CaNaDa CaN't GrOw ThEiR ProGrAm iF CaSuAL fAnS CaN'T WaTcH oN CaBLE" *ignoring the level of support the program received in it's entire history on cable, which was...........none. "But I dont want to pay for it!" - well, that's a personal decision then isnt it? It's been great value for me. How many people have TSN and Sportsnet these days with all the cable cutting anyway? I'm all for the CSA getting money through their arrangement with mediopro and one soccer, and in return I get a great product. Win-Win.
Looks like MediaPro are positioning themselves to be a contender for the MLS rights. @Yoshou They are now also on cable Welcome to OneSoccer, @Telus family 💚💜From the very beginning, we've been working tirelessly to bring Canadian soccer to as many screens as possible 📺Today, we launch the 1st major sports channel in Canada in 10 years! 🍁ℹ CHANNEL 980👀 FREE PREVIEW (Jan 1, 2022)— OneSoccer (@onesoccer) September 22, 2021 New CONCACAF Champions League CPL has gained 2 direct entry in the new CCL 1st round with the possibility of claiming a 3rd spot via the Canadian Championship I expect the berths to be allocated as follow CPL North Star Shield winner CPL Regular season champion Beginning with the 2024 tournament, two Canadian Premier League clubs will now qualify for the @Concacaf Champions League 🏆#CanPL l #CCL— Canadian Premier League (@CPLsoccer) September 21, 2021
He think he also meant this early in their existence...with MLS in their backyard. I guess context matters
