Game is only a few days away.. thus, it is time to start a thread. The Canadian team and fans shouldn't be overconfident for this match.
Well, they beat Iceland just recently... but it's Iceland... Also, Scotland did get trounced by the Korean WC team 4-1. Didn't we beat the same Korean team the last time we met in the Gold Cup? Or tied them? Maybe we could be a little confident.
2-1 scotland methinks. Im not exactly bothered either way, we just won a competitive game on saturday and thats the ones that count in my book.
I don't think its accurate to compare both Korean and Scottish team based on that result... Yes Canada beat Korea in the gold cup, but that Korean team cannot be compared to the one that played in the World cup (as it only had half of its world cup roster and they didn't go through their power program implemented by Hiddink yet) and I'm sure that Scotland didn't bring its full squad for that friendly either. But I'm pretty confident that Canada can beat Scotland, as well.
Not many people in Scotland have a clue about Canadian soccer. Many see us as a third rate soccer nation and a team Scotland should beat... no matter how good or bad they are playing at the moment. Canadian fans might be over confident because Scotland is struggling at the moment.. ie Faroese result. However, they won an important game in Iceland. This means that Scotland will be playing with a lot of young players tonight. Oh yeah, the game is almost sold out according to a news report. It is raining and cold in Edinburgh at the moment (11am).

1-1 at halftime. Canada is the much better side. They should have had a 2nd penalty called when a Scottish defender hallballed in the penalty area. C'mon you canucks. Get in there......

Okay thanks man. Too bad about the result though. But it's just a friendly and Canada should rebound.
I'm going to try to convert my tape into a DiVX (mp4) .avi file. I'll post something here when I finish it. (Still have to figure out how)
