Please Mitchel..DON'T fill the roster with TFC players. I want to see the best Canada has to offer get the invite, and that is in no way shape or form Pozniak, Reda or Braz

Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Notable absentees: G - none D - McKenna (Koeln's coach putting up a stink) D - Klukowski (?) D - Hastings (still injured as of last weekend) D/M - Nsaliwa (?)g D/M - Ledgerwood (injured) MF - Simpson (injured) F - none I'm surprised to see Jazic called as he is still injured according to LA Galaxy website.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Excellent. Can't wait to see these guys play. Where does Brennan fit in the pecking order? Do you think he'll play next week? He hasn't played for Canada in a while so I'm curious.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Hard to say about Brennan. Ideally you'd like to take advantage of his left foot, but with Klukowski and McKenna out, Mitchell might want him alongside Hainault in a back four and have Jazic out left of him.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Answers on Klukowski (club putting up a stink Mark II) and Tam (Citizenship issues) in this Neil Davidson article: http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Soccer/Canada/2007/09/05/4472855-cp.html All in all, I think that makes most players that most of us would have in the player pool accounted for one way or another, with the exception of the better U20 players who Mitchell should be more than a little familiar with already.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Just how good is Kevin Harmse? whenever I have seen him, the American commentators seem to rate him quite highly. I'm really not sure why, he looks average to me.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Harmse has been labelled the 'enforcer' for LA. Not exactly in the same class of holding midfielder as others on our roster but he is still young and has potential. Needs a bit more savvy on the ball as he isn't exactly Riquelme in the centre of the park. On the other hand, gets forward on occasion and has scored some nice goals for LA coming through late into the box.
Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Is Neil going senile or are there new rankings out? CR 52/Canada 53 last time I looked. Good to see Mr Clean back, maybe they can sub him in on set pieces.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Surely this game will be televised on a Wednesday night. We haven't had MNT soccer in Toronto for ages and hopefully a packed house will fill the stadium with screaming voices and black shirts. The game is televised on all Rogers Sportsnet channels @ 7pm http://www2.sportsnet.ca/tvschedule/index.php?schedDate=20070912
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game I also hope for a packed house, but I don't know if that will be the case. You can still buy blocks of 8 seats in any price level beyond the supporters section. The only place I've seen this promoted is through the Toronto FC season's ticket holders distribution list.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Is there walk-up tickets? I am flying into Toronto (to go to Guelph) on the 11th, and I am planning on heading down to BMO field by about 6:30pm on the 12th. I hope I can get tickets at the stadium. Is there a ticket gate at BMO Field? Cheers!
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Check the Voyageurs' board (www.canadian-soccer.com/forum) as I am sure you can get info on game night tickets there. Last I heard, the event was far from sold out but the ticket prices were pretty high for some seats.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game cant wait to get there, the osa and csa just gave my team 22 tickets to this game for making the ontario cup finals next weekend. its sweet, my boys are psyched and looking forward to supporting their national team! we are gonna have to leave 3 hours ahead of time to make sure we can get there due to ************ toronto traffic!
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Yeee!!!!! Just a couple more days til the match! btw Costa Rica tied (and very much outplayed) a very strong Honduran side today 0-0 in what was the classico of central america. Can't wait to see what happens wednesday!
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game I heard that tickets through the supporters groups (Voyageurs and U-Sec maybe) were sold out. But there are plenty of regularly priced tickets lift (starting at $14). I suggest you book your tickets online and just pick them up via Will Call at the ticket window. I'm pumped for this game.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game I do, but I got night class tomorrow though. I will be trying to watch the game online.
Re: Canada vs Costa Rica - Pre Game Yeah, keep telling that to yourself. Well, I'm go to this game today. This looks like it's going to be a great game.
