We can use the space on the hard drive reserved for Blackburn. They won't be needing it for much longer ... :D

Seriously. Powers that be. Please. Crystal Palace deserves a forum of its own.

They are in the Premiership. This is the Premiership folder. They have more right to have one than Leeds or the Wolverines.

Build it and they will come ...

    We're growing :)

Arsenal v. Crystal Palace next week should be interesting. All data points to a sure Arsenal win, but then again Palace has been playing with better form the last few games. Sure it was against lesser somewhat faltering opponents, but better nonetheless.

So what are the odds that Arsenal get embarassed by the Eagles? Slim to none, or slim to maybe?

    Lou,
Where are you going to watch the match? I have to take my fiancee's - sister's boyfriend out for this one. He is a huge Palace fan and you guys can talk about the glory days.

Actually I was planning on watching it in my jammies from the couch. Gotta love Fox Sports World. I live in Brooklyn, so heading out to either of these great pubs is a 1.5 hour trek for me on the weekends. :-(

Since I'm making this the un-official Crystal Palace thread. Lets chat about Arsenal on Saturday. The basic question is can they pull of an upset against the best team in the league.

    CP Pluses
    * They're playing at home (for what its worth against Arsenal)
    * Team is in good form and Johnson seems to be finding the goal more often
    * The team is coming off a nice string of victories
    * Kiraly and the defense have been outstanding / lucky and have conceeded only 1 goal in their last 3 games.
    * The Arsenal defense has taken a bit of a hit of late with the loss of defender Sol Campbell and defensive mid-fielder Silvan Gilberto. They have looked shaky in the backfield the last three games allowing a tie to Panathinaikos and Southhampton and a loss to Man U. In other words, Arsenal has started to look human.

    CP Minuses
    * They only really have one world class striker in Johnson. Though they could try to sit back and play a defensive game with counter-attacks against Arsenal it may not work out with the same results as they had against Birmingham City. Arsenal's defense is vulnerable at this time. For CP to do anything, they'll need both strikers to click. As of right now they only have one.
    * They are playing Arsenal and after a string of losses and draws, they are probably going to come out against CP looking to tack on 3 points. CP will definitely have a storm to weather.
    * They are still a team that is at the middle / bottom of the talent pool in the Premiership. They have good players, and they are playing more as a team now that they are getting comfortable with their promotion, but they are not Arsenal.

Should be an intersting game. Either CP wins it 2-1 and pulls off a huuuuge upset, or they lose 4-0 as Arsenal comes out attacking from the first whistle to make sure that their poor October results do not continue into November.

Even QPR has a forum - and they have not been in the EPL since 1996!

Do you know what happened in 1996?

    1. Clinton defeats Dole.

    2. Deep Blue beats Garry Kasparov

    3. Germany defeats England in PK's - again

    4. Eric Wynalda scores the first goal in MLS history

    5. Unabomber(Ted Kaczynski) is arrested in a Montana log cabin.

    6. The Menendez Brothers are found guilty of first-degree murder.

    7. Tupac is shot in Las Vegas, Nevada then dies 6 days later.

    8. Prince Charles and Princess Diana are formally divorced.

    9. The Taliban capture Kabul.

    10. And at the movies - "SHOW ME THE MONEY".

    Come on!

1 - 1 versus Arsenal. Could have been 2-1. Sweet boys. Very sweet!

Crystal Palace--maybe the best-named club in all of football. :)

If Palace fans want a forum, they can ask here.

Watching the match now and keeping my fingers crossed. It would be mighty fine to have Palace upset the Gooners. Why isn’t there a Palace forum? I’m new and looked high and low where to post for Dowie’s lads. The only thing Wenger has said right this year is Dowie should be manager of the year.

It was a total downer... not that I expected Palace to win; however thought they'd play a tad better. :(

i liked Palace on the free kick

absolutely all of them ran up and like 6 Arsenal's were offside

though had Bergkamp paused as he was taking the kick, they would have been found out
