Carter-Vickers’ goal was on a set piece from out wide - goes back post, headed down, CCV first to pounce on a loose ball and shoots through some bodies from eight yards out.

If that goal holds on as the winner Celtic have to give CCV the club. That's the rules.

CCV’s goal was indeed the decider. Final score:

    Rangers 1-2 Celtic

Love affair for CCV by the announcing crew today, might get the MOTM nod. Stoic on defense when Rangers were on the front foot. Delivers a good forward ball. this might be for another forum but he needs to be brought in to camp.

Rangers attacked like crazy 2nd half. Between the goal and keeping the clean sheet for the last 85 it was a big day of CCV.

Damn match came on at 5AM MST which is waaaaay too early for me. Sigh…. I had to catch the replay already knowing the result. Huge goal aside, CCV over and over again just stymied The Rangers attack. Rangers came fast and furious in the 2nd half and CCV provided the brick wall. MOTM for me.

I had to go coach in the second half, so this is a little amazing - his defense was below average in the first half. Sounds like he had a way better second half. And such a huge six-pointer in the title race.

Halftime of the Scottish cup semifinal on ESPN+. Carter-Vickers stoic in defense with a highlight of clearing a direct on goal chance after a rebound and other clearances. Distribution is really good from him out of the back daring players to take the ball off of his feet to open up space which a few have taken the bait. MOTM so far for Celtic. Rangers with most of the possession and chances in the match.

Hit the bar on a chance off of a corner. Won the foul that led to the eventual goal. Still stoic on defense having an excellent match.

CCV has been outstanding today. He even thumped a head off the crossbar around the 70th minute. He’s had some timely and important tackles, been a beast in the air, and has calmly sprayed passes all over the pitch. It’s what you’ve come to expect from him.

Celtic are up 1-0. Former Rangers youth player, Greg Taylor, an unlikely goal scorer, hit one last Rangers much to the chagrin of Rangers fans.

rangers level 1-1 thru the Canadian Scott Arfield in the 78th minute. Ugh. Game on.

Big clearance from CCV a couple of minutes ago - first to a low cross.

CCV strong but too busy last few minutes - nice headed clearance, a shot block, containing Arfield in the box.

Man, great huge tackle just outside the box to prevent a dangerous shot.

Rangers win in extra time, 2-1. CCV was limping heavily in the late going, but lots of good moments from him. No Sands.

CCV starts against Hearts. They concede an early goal on a great quick reaction half volley by Sims - CCV was nearby but not a lot of blame on anyone.

Celtic restore order scoring two later in the first half, trying to clinch the title.

CCV starts against Dundee United, with Celtic's magic number for the title at just one point. Good chance for the celebration to be today.

No Ian Harkes for Dundee United - injured.

Equalizer for United called back for offside. Brutal.

Dundee United equalize for real this time - excellent 28 yard shot that didn't look available. 1-1 and there will be some stress late here.

CCV concedes a late foul at the sideline that nearly leads to a goal that would have unclinched the title.

Full time - and CCV wins the title. Maybe his last game for Celtic, but a very proud moment.

Cameron Carter-Vickers starts in the Champions League - likely to shut down Benzema and assert his claim to a World Cup spot. Or, something else will happen.

Yup. This is where he can solidify his spot. This is the type of match and stage that does it. To much silly nit picking here.

Perform well here and that’s that.

    Good luck CCV.
