Charlotte beats Cincinnati 2-0 in the other QF. Pete Palomino from John Nabers in the first half and Steve Traeger from Mira Mupier in the second.

The 49ers (11-6-1) advance to face Alabama-Birmingham (11-5). Cincinnati finishes 7-10-2.

Both semis are tomorrow and the final Sunday because rain forced today's games to be postponed from yesterday. That means if SLU or Charlotte advance to the final, they'll be playing three games in as many days.

(1) Memphis 1 - 0 (5) Saint Louis

Top-seeded Memphis advanced to its first C-USA tournament final since 1998, knocking off four-time defending champion Saint Louis, 1-0. Midfielder John Reilly scored for the Tigers in the 41st minute off assists from Michael Coburn and Daniel Dobson.

No. 2 seed UAB (11-6-0, 7-2-0) will face sixth-seeded Charlotte (11-6-1, 5-4-0) at approximately 3:40 p.m. The 49ers defeated No. 3 Cincinnati, 2-0, Friday with goals from Pete Palommino and Steven Traeger, while keeper Josh Beachem made eight saves defensively.

The winner of that match will face the Tigers (14-3-1) in tomorrow's championship final at 2 p.m. EST. Memphis earned its first regular season title in the 10-year history of Conference USA and the No. 1 seed in the 2004 Conference USA Men's Soccer Tournament.

The Billikens advanced to the semifinals with a 2-0 win against USF on Friday. SLU sophomore Alex Matteson scored a pair of goals to lead the Billikens to their sixth straight trip to the conference semifinals.

Following a record day of rainfall in Louisville that postponed action, the tournament finally got underway Friday and is being played three consecutive days.

The C-USA Championship game will be aired on the Conference USA Television Network. Don Russell will call the play-by-play, and Bill McDermott provides the color commentary. Conference USA's official website, www.ConferenceUSA.com, will provide updates, box scores, recaps and photos.

UAB beats Charlotte 1-0 in double OT. Don't have any other details right now.

Alabama-Birmingham improves to 12-5 and should get an at-large bid even if they lose the final tomorrow. Charlotte (11-7-1) is definitely on the bubble for an at-large bid.

Great second half so far. 2-1 UAB with 22:10 left. Freshman Marcus McCarty put in a very nice goal to bring the Tigers within one, and SeaBass (Vecchio) has made a couple of stellar saves in the past five minutes.
