That's funny. I thought I was a Sporting fan. That's what God (TO) tells me every single chance he gets... I'd rather take on Benfica now anyway. There's nothing like a 3-0 win to build up false hope. We're still week in the front, Jardel's not fit and Leitao is too slow to make an impact, but Benfica are relatively unaware of most shots coming from outside the box so I think in that respect we stand some chance. It'll come down to what Benfica shows up, and when.
Beira Mar are one of those teams who suck but always find a way to do good vs big teams. so im worried about this game.
Yeah. These Liga Honra minnows' entire season consists of two Jornadas, a home and away series against SL Benfica! They give their all against the glorious and then resort back to drawing or losing to the other minnows.
Regardless of how much it means to Beira Mar to play well this game the reality is that Benfica have a better and more talented team. We have to be able to beat weak teams if we want to be champions. Benfica seems to have come into form, a lot of our players seem healthier than they've been in a while. My only concern is a big let down after punishing Celtic and giving so much against Porto. If we're really the elite team we claim to be we'll beat Beira-Mar; 3-1 Benfica.

I love it when Beira-Mar plays big teams. If we win, it's "oh you'll get demoted anyway." If we lose, it's because we suck. If you beat Benfica it's because it's a big achievement to do so. Beating Benfica isn't that hard, especially this season.
