Big game for the Saints tomorrow as they travel to Burnley. Svennson, Claus , Powell, and Prutton are out injured. I hope Saints get out of their with a win. It would help show the squad is truely capable of promotion this year.

12' minutes into the match and possession has been mainly with Burnley. Saints are doing nothing really.

Just a piece of trivia. The last time Burnley beat Saints was 1976. The result was 2-0. Who know's if history is repeated again, it might be a good year for us. ;)

Thomas is given a straight red for violently pushing Viafara in the box in the 16' minute. Unfortunately Jhon did not have the ball. Freekick for Saints which results in a corner.

Man, these Burnley fans and announcers are going mad any time Saints make contact with a Burnley player and the ref doesn't call anything. This should make for an interesting final 70'.

Saints apparently got away with a blatent handball according to the biased Burnley announcers. Man it's the world against them according to them. Shocking, really.

Elliott off for Sinclair on 27' minute. It's too bad for Elliott that he had to come off since he is a Southampton born lad and he is making way for a defender because of the red card.

Burnley have really taken control of this match since their goal. Saints need to step it up again and level this match.

Burnley started and ended the half the much better team. Saints benefited from the sending off, but by letting that second Burnley goal in they let Burnley back into the match. Let's hope we play a much better second half, which we usually do, and pull out a point or three. :)

Well the second half has started much like the first one with Burnley dominating and nearly scoring within five minutes of the restart. Nice save from Davis.

Boy these Burnley announcers are calling for a lynching of Pele. These guys are really disgusting!!! Pele with an apparent grotesque challenge that incompacitated Jones. Joke really because Jones will be back in the match in less than a minute. Pele with a yellow card in the 53' minute.

10 men Burnley are starting to put the Saints under some more pressue. Sinclair with another freekick which I hope is not a repeat of the first half.

Saints are doing alright, but I am still not confident of a Saints victory until that final whistle has been blown.

Some how I missed a Saints' substitution. Skacel off for Surman on the 84' minute.

Baird with another foul which results in a Burnley freekick from 35 yards out. Burnley hit it just over the bar, but the kick has to be retaken. Ref spotted some pushing in the box, but no penalty is given much to the dismay of the Burnley announcers who are crying over this poor decision.
