So with the results from today, Bayern with a win could move into sole possession of secong place in the Bundesliga. This will be interesting... they have built up our hopes these past two weeks, will they continue to impress or as DeadFingers would say "pull a Bayern"?

We shall see. Lineup prediction for me... don't fix it if it ain't broke. Pizarro, Ze, and Scholl (cold virus?) are out. Sagnol is back and Deisler as well.

    ....................Kahn
    ...Kuffour....Lucio........Kovac.....Brazzo
    ...................Ballack
    Hargreaves............Schweinsteiger (aka pigfocker)
    ...................Frings
    .....Hashemian........Makaay

Guerraro in for Hashemian. Sagnol for Kuffour. At halftime. Possibly Deisler late in the second half.

Anybody up for the Play-By-Play??? ;)

Solid line-up eissmann. My only alteration would be to start Demichellis instead of Kovac. I wish I could do PBP tomorrow, but I have to work during the eintire match, and we do not have access to the internet at work(we can only work within our intranet).

EDIT: Im expecting a 1-1 draw from Bayern. I can't let myself ever be optimistic with this Bayern because they are simply unable to put together anykind of run.

    From Bayern: probable lineups

VfL Bochum: Van Duijnhoven - Colding, Kalla, Knavs, Meichelbeck - Preuß, Zdebel - Wosz - Madsen, Lokvenc, Trojan

Bayern Munich: Kahn – Kuffour (Sagnol), Lucio, Kovac, Salihamidzic - Ballack - Hargreaves, Schweinsteiger - Frings - Pizarro (Hashemian), Makaay

Looks like Magath agrees with you eissman!

Bochum seem a little off this year. And to be the pessimist here-here is something extra here for you (from the site as well)

The match is a battle against a curious statistic. Over the last few weeks, Bayern have consistently followed two victories with two defeats. "I'd like us do break this statistical habit in Bochum and put an end to this bad rhythm," Magath declared. Michael Ballack added his voice to the general warning: "We can't be always having a stinker after two decent showings."

Ugh, knowing this it is almost a certainty that Bayern will underperform on Sunday. I really hope that they have finally found form. Another trend that I have noticed is that Bayern always go into international weeks on a role, however the next couple of matches after they return the team plays horribly.

I dont mind them losing to a Bremen or a Leverkusen--BUT they always lose to a team they should kill. Lazy Bastards!

This game is very important. If Bayern get the 3, they'll be second, that way they would wait for a Wolfsburg stumble to go on top, providing they keep up their victories.

I have to keep blinking my eyes towards Wolfsburg. Good for them.

The one nice thing you have got to like about being a Munich fan is you KNOW at some time they will pull through in the Bundesliga and make a run for the title. As long as they are in the hunt (top three) at the break, then they are in good standing. The other teams at the top have typically not been there often and don't have the reputation that Bayern has at remaining in the top three consistantly. This puts heat on the "newbies" (aka Wolfsburg) and the "not-so newbies" (aka Stuttgart, Bremen, etc) to perform each week or else Bayern will slip into their place in the tables.

You have to like that position. I will take those odds going into Bochum.

I think the lineup is speaking for itself right now. With Ballack and Frings in different roles, Hargreaves/Schweiny helping the midfield find its scoring once again, and the emergence of Guerraro, I think this team can do some real damage before the break. Put us through to the next phase in CLS, and step up a spot or two in the league table. The cup resumes after break, no, or do they have their quarterfinal match prior to that? (who is their opponent?)

Id keep an eye out for Hashemian, Its common that a player starts his scoring once they play agianst thier former club. He hasnt done much lately, however I think this is the helicopter's golden opportunity.

LIneup is as expected (see above).... only Sagnol replaces Kuffour on Right, and Pizarro will start up top with Makaay after all.

Guess Hashemian will have to wait.

magath is an idiot to use pizarro. according to peruvian media he is totally worn out after having missed the pre season training and then played approximately 2 games per week since his return. he only train with the remaining squad the day before the match. otherwise he does rehab training. the medical staff in bayern says that he needs urgent rest.

i would prefer too see guerrero play instead. peru has an important wc qualifier against chile on wednesday and we need both of them healthy

Is there radio for the game available? You're right, the ticker is sluggish. And now it's halftime, no cards, no goals!
