Why isn’t concacaf throwing a fit that the US squad is not an A squad? Yet they gave us shit when we wanted to send an A squad to Copa America.
They stopped Mexico from sending an A squad because of conflict with Copa but that's it. This will be the first time Mexico has sent an A squad to the Gold Cup that is played in a World Cup qualifying year and they haven't forced Mexico to do anything in past Gold Cups.

We had so many players in their prime in 2011 and 2015 that I felt could have made a good run in the Copa America but CONCACAF being the greedy fucks they are wouldn’t allow it
What standard? They also told Costa Rica to go with the Olympic squad to that Copa America, which is all they did. CONCACAF didn't say shit about 2015. Mexico decided to send their A team to the Gold Cup because we needed to win it to get to play the CONCACAF Cup and go to the Confederations Cup. It was the FMF and Piojo who decided to prioritize the Gold Cup. Did people forget that in 2017, the equivalent to this Gold cup, we went with Cubo Torres and Martin Barragan?

Stupid? Could the fmf compensate teams selling players to European teams to incentivize? The more “star” players there are the more games and player jerseys sell.
Doesn't the FMF derive its power from the owners? That's the problem... They need an FA that's independent from the owners... I doubt they'd give up power though...

Chaka is not a national team player. Just not consistent enough. He’s a solid pro, don’t get me wrong, just not a national team player. Efrain was fine, but he’s no Lainez so we can’t expect the same impact. He’s a more talented but less experienced version of Orbelin.
