I still think something is off, Mexico has about a 30-40 million Male player pool.
We should have more good players.

 

It's mostly a byproduct of so many of our players being stuck in Liga MX, which doesn't rate very well outside of North America.

 

I give it until January when everything gets cancelled again once they realise how out of control COVID is gonna get.

 

Tbf, it's rated pretty well in the Americas in general. As much as some of the South American countries like to hate on us, they tend to call up a lot of Liga MX players. The top Argie and Brazilian teams also tend to fish around in Liga MX for players.

 

I meant in terms of marketing/cash flow. Liga MX only really has two markets where it's profitable.

One thing Tata does that Chepo never did was rotate players or change formations.

 

Santiago Gimenez is the future striker of the national team so these players are only stop gaps.

I you had to chose only out of Furch, Mori, or Ormeño to backup RJ9 who you got?

Personally I would like to give Ormeño a shot. If we lose him to Peru then we have no choice but to use a naturlizado.

 

Funes Mori for me.

Ormeño is turning 27 in February and he's played less than 40 games in his entire career. Let the Peruvians buy the hype but the guy is not NT quality.

Furch has sucked this season, and at 31 I don't think he's going to get much better.

Again, it's not an ideal situation. We'd be riding on Raul's form with Martín and Funes Mori backing him up until another striker comes along.

I would even throw in Macias and Martin over Furch, Ormwno, and Funes.

 

Funes over Martin, but Martin is showing to be a better player than I thought.

 

Benjamin Galdames makes it official on his IG, that he will represent Mexico.

The 19 year old currently plays for Unión Española in Chile. He has accepted call ups to both 🇨🇱 and 🇲🇽 at youth level and was in the last 🇲🇽 U20 team.
