Well Qatar went to Copa America and gave every team trouble. Tied Paraguay, were 5 minutes from getting a tie against Colombia, etc. And the atmosphere was totally South America so it just wasn't the UAE that made them what they are. Also the US and Costa Rica are good teams.
And today lost 1-5 to Ghana (granted, a friendly) with their full team, so yeah, forgive me if I don't find them super exciting.
Yes and Mexico is a better team than Qatar and yet in 2019, they did better against an Argentina with Messi that we did against them without him and with the support of a whole stadium. So maybe we should give the molero talk a break.
I know molero is an unimportant match, but what is the literal context that makes it usable for that meaning?
Mexico to play South Korea on Nov. 14 in Austria. No venue confirmed as yet. #eltrieng— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) October 13, 2020
Rogelio Funes Mori hoping to be elegible for Mexico in time for the international break next March, according to @ESPNmx sources. Tata Martino hasn't wanted to talk much about the issue, but the player has said Martino reached out to his agent.(Spanish)https://t.co/zI41nxawOW— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) October 13, 2020 Awesome.
The reason why this is awesome, in my opinion, is because of fixture and tournament congestion next year. Nations League, Gold Cup, Olympics, etc.

I like that these duses are playing lots of different types of opponents... Netherlands, Algeria, Korea, Japan all present something different...
Mexico piece. - Positive signs over Martino's 20 games- Issues to resolve - Tecatito to become a "pillar" under Tata? - Gen change partially on hold - Chicharito part of pack chasing "indispensable" Jimenez#eltrieng https://t.co/TCome8298f— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) October 14, 2020
It wasn't that long ago when we had two games against USA and a friendly against Ecuador every year, so this is a welcome change
Who would have thought that due to a pandemic we’d be playing against top teams in neutral/away territory? One of the very few good things to come out of this

Furch and Funes Mori is very interesting depth. Only downside is it will delay the integration of the younger forwards into the NT. On the other side of the coin, the competition for spots on the Olympic Squad will only intensify.
