Portuguese midfielder Maniche moved to Chelsea on a six-month loan deal from Dynamo Moscow with a view to completing a transfer at the end of the season. He played for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Benfica and FC Porto, winning UEFA Cup and Champions League titles while at Porto.
