UNITED FOR DC TOY DRIVE UfDC will be collecting toys to benefit Children's National Medical Center (aka Children's Hospital) beginning now through next Wednesday, December 10th. Everyone who donates will get a special thank you from the team (being confirmed as we speak, but likely a Chipotle coupon, similar to their United Drives program in-season...and the United Drives keychain). Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy. You may bring by all donations to DC United OR the Happy Hr this Friday. Catherine is checking to see if she or someone from her staff can be there on Fri but is there anyone who can volunteer to take the collection to United's offices by Wed, Dec 10 (they will be taking the toys over on Dec 11). Just shoot me an email at kim@screaming-eagles.com If someone from DCU can come they will also be bringing some DC United ornaments and mugs for "donation" (UfDC can't technically sell anything). I'll confirm if this is happening later in the week. K
Everyone coming to the Happy Hour will get a ticket to fill out and put into a bowl. When GrillMaster starts to sing dirty songs to the ladies (what we'll call halftime), Kevin Payne will draw a name from the bowl. That lucky person will be the new head coach. And instantly hated amongst everyone at the Happy Hour. Ironic.
I can't make the happy hour due to a business commitment. Can I send in my name for the Hate-drawing?
DAM!!!! I will be back in DC for the first time in 4 years from 16-26 December. Was hoping that the happy hour would fall in those dates. Oh well, maybe next decade.
I'm heading out of town that night, so won't be able to make it. Looking forward to the next one (early January?)!

just a warning to those that expect some food. summers is remodeling and their kitchen has very limited menu this week (basically 5 sandwich options that they can microwave, nothing fried). so plan accordingly. see ya'll there.
