So reports The Scum Coach's Kin in his latest column ... http://mlsnet.com/content/03/firstXI0916.html
Seems to me that Jeff Bradley wouldn't say anything good about us except that Arena made that comment anmd I wonder if he knows what Arena is talking about. It seems to me that our team is being disrespected by the (few) national media right now. Chicago, C-bus, Ne, and the metros have all gotten rave revies lately, but not DCU until Arena's comments.
Amen, brother, and that's the way it's got to be for it to be worth anything. Always nice to hear from the Bruce -- this ain't international futbol, but he's following the players. (You hear that Bobito?) I sent a conciliatory email to J. Bradley today once I saw him refer to the July 5 spectacle as a controversial game. I wonder if brother Bob heard something from the League --- hmmmmm? Besides, I thought J's First XI was his best in quite a while. Let the media crow all it wants about LA, NY and Columbus, the preseason favorite of many. It "don't mean nuthin" if they don't back it up with wins come playoff time. NY still has never been in a Cup final and many of their fans are posting interesting complaints about their team. lalagal fans are anticipating the embarrassment of their team hitting a down cycle while their stadium is brand new. How do you spell Columbus? I spell it B-u-d-d-l-e and I don't think one player will take them to the promised land (they're still weak in the back and have no depth for Martino). If our boys take care of their business it'll be DC doing the crowing when it's just about snowing. GM
