If we win, we clinch a playoff spot. Kelly Smith wants to play in this one according to her blog. It will be interesting to see what happens with A-Rod in this one... I'm thinking Lipsher for the clean sheet.

Leg-Breaker FC is much better....but that's what I get for slacking! I'm still thinking up a good one for Saturday's match...:D

The Rodriguez Experiment has me scratching my head....I still cannot believe it, And I disagree with the way Tony has handled it. It wouldn't surprise me if Amy does not travel with the team...Any idea?

It's great that Kelly wants to play...But I'm not sure I'd start her in Washington. I want to make sure she can go a full 90 in St. Louis, I say start the Freedom match without her and bring her in as late as you can...I don't think a player that has missed as many matches as Kelly has the last few weeks can play 90 minute matches on 2 days rest..

    My starting 11:

    ------------------------Lipsher------------------------

    Alex----------Chapman--------LePeilbet---------Mittsie

    ------------------------Latham----------------------

    -------Fabiana-----------------------------Lilly-------

    -------------------------Hucles-----------------------

    --------------Nobis-----------------A-Rod--------

I wouldn't fathom a guess at the 11 Tony os going to put out there...But I'm pretty sure A-Rod and Latham won't be.

    Well, I think it's safe to say A-Rod won't be starting ;)

And I also believe Maggie Tomecka has earned the starting spot at holding midfield. She's been better there than Latham was, in my opinion.

If the game notes that Andy posted are correct....Amy did not travel with the team.

    Tony's starting 11:

    ------------------------Lipsher------------------------

    Alex----------Chapman--------LePeilbet---------Mittsie

    ------------------------Tomecka----------------------

    -------Hucles-----------------------------Lilly-------

    -------------------------Smith-----------------------

    --------------Fabiana-----------------Nobis--------

    Bench:

    Luckenbill
    Latham
    Goffi
    Moore
    Schmedes

IDK if it's been in these notes before but it also says that Weber is out for the season after having knee surgery last week...

Where in the heck is MF Monroe? She provided a spark during the call ups and had that Lillyesque save at the goal mouth.

MF is not traveling. I forgot that she is a developmental player.

On a different note- I'm liking Nancy A-G in the back; she played well last game especially.

Alex gets the red early. Man. that is not good for Boston. And Bompastor's leg doesn't feel very good right now.

cleats up hit Bompastor above the ankle. Very little arguing about it by Breakers folks that I saw.

The woman is Lori Walker--Ohio State women's soccer coach, former player (keeper) at UNC, and has done commentating w/ a degree of regularity. She's generally one of the better color analysts. No idea who the guy is. The sound seems off on the feed (sounds like some sort of wind blowing through)

eta: also no idea who the sideline woman is, either.

OK, then she doesn't lisp like that normally.

What a ********ing palaver to try to get hold of a broadcast. Brilliant that you can do it, sad that it has to be a big adventure, with someone doing some less than entirely legal stuff to provide it .
