Shocking selection from Favre. Dahoud not playing and no Brandt.

I am so angry. He goes for the Witsel and Delaney.

    Such an awful line up.

    Meunier Hummels Akanji Raphael

    Sancho Witsel Delaney Reyna

    Reus Haaland

I am so angry. We are going to get stupid.

Can is back on the bench and Hazard didn't look bad after his return. So I at least expect those two and Brandt to come in later.
I don't really have a good feeling about this match but that is rarely the case playing against Bayern.

We have picked a ridiculously stupid line up. Witsel is our worst midfielder. We lack someone to move the balls behind the line

Reyna has been poor for weeks and should have been dropped. Hazard would be the more solid choice defensively, but Brandt should have started.

I can only hope Bayern aren't 3-0 up by the end of the first half.

There's also no accountability or fairness.

Reyna does not deserve to play on form and either does Witsel, but Favre will pick his favourites.

The defence looks good, glad to see Hummels back. I can understand Favre picking 2 more defensive minded midfielders in this match, I would have liked to have seen Dahoud start though.

Oh well, we press high and get punished for it. We made it too easy for them.

Edit: VAR overturned their goal. We got lucky, it was extremely close.

No there is no reason for it, because that's not the best way for us to play against Bayern. We don't need to fear anyone at home.

Play the fight midfield and we would win this.

Horrible gameplan by Favre, even cowardly. You're at home for God's sake!

I think this is the phase when Bayern goes for the goal and increases their pressure, they are getting more dangerous and we are making more mistakes in transition. That is usually how we started to lose the recent games against them.

Rather generous for Kimmich if he only gets a yellow for that challenge. But he's out injured now.

Bayern isn't at their best at the moment, probably also a bit rattled because of Kimmich's injury that seems to on the more serious side. In hindsight, losing him weighs more in the long run than just conceding the goal. On the other side, they are extremely dangerous with their counterattacks. It's a game that can go both ways.

Reus scores. I hope that gives him some confidence as he seemed to struggle a bit recently. Hummels also deserves credit for making the game fast instead of playing it safety first.

Reus scores, great play from Humels and brilliant low cross from Dahoud.

The team is still the wrong one, but hopefully we won't be punished for it.

Our team is as good as any in the world and we shouldn't he afraid of anyone.

We conceded at an unlucky deflected goal from a free kick, but we cannot complain about it being equal.

This is a MUST WIN match. We need to he more offensive especially with the injury to Kimmich.

And there's the equalizer right before the half.
Still, we don't look bad. This is a game we can definitely win if we don't allow too much in defense.

Lewandowski's goal would have stood pre-VAR. Shame for Bayern to lose Kimmich too but he only has himself to blame for that cynical challenge. Reus showing exactly why he's their captain despite the criticisms against him for lacking minutes. Great goal from Alaba too. Wonderful game so far.

Mistakes against Bayern are unforgivable. Too bad we conceded that goal. With Delaney+Witsel the plan I guess is to go from the wings. Don't expect any distribution from the center there. Maybe Dahoud for Delaney at some point in the 2nd half.

Damn, seeing that Kimmich injury in the replays looks ugly. These are the kind of injuries that affect the ligaments.

And that's the difference...we miss an extremely good opportunity to take the lead and instead it's Bayern who score with the next attack.

    2-1 down now.

You cannot sit and contain Bayern. They only way to beat them is to go at them.
    They have to much firepower.

The day can not come fast enough when we sack Favre.

    No that's not the difference.

Bayern have been dominating, they have been more attacking and have created more attacking opportunities. The had a goal narrowly disallowed and have hit the lost.

The better more attacking team are winning.

If we don't make a change this will be 3-1 soon.

And then he chooses to bring on Bellingham over Dahoud. It's beyond pathetic.
We needed Dahojd to start. We badly need Witsel off as well. But he is going for Bellingham. He is an absolute joke.

This is a match we could have won with a decent selection especially with Kimmich going off.

    Edit

Anyone also noticed that Hummels and Akanji have given up passing to our midfield. They don't even try and pass to Witsel or Delaney
