Vrbani. Nemoj spamati više. Inače, dobrodošao ;)

I'm glad Ciro scored, this will surely boost his confidence.

Has confidence really been his problem or the lack of a well-oiled midfield behind him?

The second, but the last time he scored was in December, since then he missed half of the games and didn't do well when he played. I don't know how strong he is mentally, but scoring will certainly keep him from falling psychologically while other things are being sorted out.

Immobile is obviously a talented player and I see a future for him in BvB but right now Aubameyang does a better job.

I've been reading that Gundogan has been stalling on his contract and the he wants to go to the EPL.

Who would make a good replacement?

I'm hoping that we land Praet and Tielemans.

I also read that we are after Max Kruse. I hope this isn't true, I see him as highly over rated and very inconsistent.

Don't forget Reus was actively studying Bayrisch and then Spanish. That's about how badly Ilkay wants to play in the EPL.

It's easy to see Ilkay is happy. Enjoys his football, has very close friends (with Kagawa as a bonus) who are sticking around for years to come, best coach to work with, local girlfriend. A move for him is completely illogical. It's only a matter of time for him to extend. He obviously wants to get the most out of the contract so he will sign once there is an agreement. Reus didn't stay for peanuts either; Ilkay (deservedly) expects a hefty raise and a unique status. Once he gets it we'll hear all about his love for the club.

Just because a player is set on where he would like to play, doesn't mean contract will be signed immediately. So player/agent and club end up flirting with each other, with reports of interest toward other clubs and of team actively scouting for talent. Sooner or later they will find common ground and announce extension.

Once we know how much he's being offered it'll make sense. Multiple sources reported that Reus was getting 8-10M. If Gundogan is getting 5M we know he's serious about leaving. I think he should be offered 8M as well.

It pays off doesn't it? :p

MS I feel like I owe you one. If Ilkay doesn't extend, I will change my avatar for confession bear to say "I don't understand humans". I'm open to suggestions on a wager though.

I was proposing a one-way bet just like the previous one was. This time around I'm the one betting. If MS wants to live dangerously he can bet too :p

I don't want to buy any stories from the media, especially if EPL is mentioned. Reus and Hummels are linked with an EPL side almost every week, now Gundo is as well. I only trust Ruhrnachrichten, the information they give is reliable.

And I'm optimistic about Gundo extending as well :D

I have midterm in a couple hours and Im not feeling too confident on it, if I get a matchday thread up for Hamburg it will be in about 10 hours. If anyone else wants to do the thread this week go ahead, if its not up when I get back I can do one.

School is overrated. Just pass. Your grades will be irrelevant by the time you apply for your 2nd job.

I think there is a good chance he would extend with BVB. I would be suprised if he doesn't extend.
