If you are wondering why FCNY has no boisterious supporters section, look to further to this fine article: http://www.thisiscosmoscountry.com/2011/06/banned-in-belson.html#more
Seriously, why hasn't another bunch of fanss stepped up to the plate? Even without FCNY's 'encouragement', I would have thought a couple of local kids would start something. (No I am not talking about Goodfellas or Straphangers SC.) If FCNY does stay around for a couple of years, I guess something will form in spite of the FCNY FO. I heard that Borough of Queens has a few soccer fans.
my question would be, why would anyone WANT to step up to the plate? The FCNY front office clearly doesn't give a sh*t about supporters. They've made that clear since day one.
I commentedo n there, but I'll say it here as well. Go to St. John's games. They get double the attendance of FCNY, their student section is bigger for soccer than for basketball, and I think non-students get in for 6 bucks on the endline and 12 at midfield. Plus, its a great place to get new members.
