Galaxy hurting for defensive options http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20050706&content_id=35677&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp Life sucks, then you move to LA, then you die. Thank God for dying.
I'm hoping at some point that we will get over our fascination with LA. They're behind us in the standings and on their way down -- they have a bunch of talented individuals but they don't play together as a team, and as long as Sampson is in charge, they're not going to get better. I enjoy the schadenfreude when LA suffers, but let's focus on Dallas, huh? They're out in front and they're very good but maybe we can catch them.
Quakes and LA are tied with 25. "Due to injuries and national team call-ups the Hoops had to again call on a number reserves to fill the void. Veteran defender Steve Jolley made his first start of the season at center back in place of Greg Vanney, who is with the U.S. in preparation for the CONCACAF Gold Cup." http://fc.dallas.mlsnet.com/MLS/new...ent_id=35330&vkey=news_fcd&fext=.jsp&team=fcd Boo hoo... Life sucks, you move to Frisco or LA (or both), then you die. Thank God for dying.
I hear ya Bill, but at this point in our history, the parochialism and hate-fetishism serve us well. It's damn fun and it draws a crowd. Gets us some press too. As rivals go, they are perfect because they will forever be the big, glamor club on our coast. Plus, LA sux. Still works for the Boston Red Sox, and they're doing all right.
There are no ties in soccer standings. SJ and LA both have 25 points each, but SJ has better goal differential.
Yes I agree, but wouldn't it be great to see them knocked out of the semifinal by us in injury time. (My heart couldn't handle the stress though)
