Not if Niemi keeps playing like this. He's not been good. He's getting outplayed by Paul Robinson.

Fulham is without a doubt going down. They lose their best scorere, and transfer out a jeckyl and hyde defender who at least had games of jeckyl. The CB replacement playing now looks horrid. Their MF looks horrid.

Dempsey is just about the best Fulham player right now. He is winning a ton of 50/50 balls and his passing is a little off, but there are times when his teammates should have done better as well.

Baird makes me wonder what was so bad about Volz and Rosenior.

Fulham have by far their best spell of the half, and the resulting corner is buried by Clint Dempsey with a header!!!

What a fantastic header! Dempsey makes me so proud to be a US Soccer fan. He plays with SKILL AND TECHNIQUE, in addition to great athleticism. No one could deny that was a great, great header. He destroyed Chimbonda on that. Thumping!!!

So, he's started 3 games in his Fulham career and scored 3 goals. That's not bad at all.

Damn, he got everything behind that header. Text book finish. You weren't stopping that header even with a guy on the post. What's that, two in two games? He needs this free roaming role, he scores!

Kamara, Bouazza and Steven Davis have all been awful.

Clint's taking brutal punishment with all these long balls. He's going to be in bad shape come May. Hopefully McBride can eventually get back and share the load.

Spurs should have buried Fulham by now. As it is Demposey's nice header gives Fulham help in the second; Spuirs may live to regret not getting another.

Tottenham looks likely to give up another one, IMO, if not more. Imagine if Dempsey hadn't missed the sitter in the game two weeks ago....could have been 3 goals! He's also won his fair share of headers.

Fulham have no one like Steed or Boa in the old days that can keep possession in midfield, beat 1 or 2 guys to disorient the defense, and then make the great pass. Dempsey might be the closest to that, although Bullard is quality when healthy.

Dempsey really has responded well the last 2 games. Going to be hard for Sanchez to keep him off the next few games. He's looking the most dangerous. I'd like to see him with Healy...I think they play better together than with Kamara.

Just a fantastic header. Clint is delivering, no doubt.

Martin Tyler always so classy and well prepared. He mentions that Dempsey beat the former English keeper James (in the friendly vs. England 2 years ago) and now the current English keeper...take THAT PSV! :)

I've noticed in this game, even if only on a couple plays, that the way Dempsey settles the ball and keeps his composure in traffic is a class above most other Fulham players on the field.

Where are all those Fulham fans who wanted to crucify Dempsey a couple of weeks ago?

He's been the best player on the field for Fulham this half and scored a highlight reel header to keep them in the game.

    Way to go, Deuce!

yeah... watching the first half... all of fulham except for dempsey, davies and, arguably, baird have looked out of sort and off of the same page as each other

dempsey has looked like the best player for fulham and, i'd argue, the best player on the field... he hasn't had a lot to work with, but he's playing with confidence and that's the player we know... that's what we didn't see from him so much last year when he was getting acclimated

the header on the goal was a great job of getting free and a beautiful finish... there have been a few times where he used some skill on the ball to give him some space or slow things down to keep possession going, if only for someone else to give it up

bouazza whipped a hard cross in that dempsey got a sick first touch on, sticking his leg out for the ball to just drop dead to the ground like a weight... unfortunately he was really off balance reaching out and the defender was able to recover

for the first 20-25 minutes boca looked pretty good... but then he managed to mangle things and give two guys open runs in the box that, if not for konchesky heroics, would've been sure goals or at least dynamite chances

him and stefanovic don't have any chemistry... hate zat all you want, and i wasn't a big protagonist, you can already tell the difference in chemistry... too many new bodies... even the announcer said that really, the only recognizable fulham player on the field was boca

sanchez REALLY needs to get his shit in order
