With Silva suspended, Nico Blandi is the likely replacement. The other alternative would be Gaona Lugo. Although I like Nico and he always seems to deliver, I'd like to see the kid from Paraguay. He'd give us an outside threat like the good ol' days. (Not so long ago but it does seem like it).

The only other doubt is Erviti, who came out of the Copa Argentina final with a slight injury, a muscular discomfort on his left leg. It looks like he will play, but if he's not ready, the alternative would be Sanchez Miño.

    Likely starters:

Any idea who the subs will be? I went through Clarin and found nothing but the starters. I still think this is a team that could win more than it loses but if we are going to use an enganche we need to find someone just a bit better than Pochi. I love Pochi but would prefer to see him play more wide than central. I wonder when we'll start integrating our new signings.

Ustari with a pretty good save at minute 8, after a scintillating build-up play from Tigre.

Pretty sluggish first half we rarely threatened apart from one long shot form Viatri.Stating the obvious but we lack creativity without Roman or even Mouche

Creativity in the final third is almost non existent. This might be somewhat counter-intuitive, but the team may end up missing Mouche more than it does Roman.
Isn't Noir back? Maybe he could be given a crack at it.

Who is Boca's fashion manager? What was he/she thinking with this shirt/shorts combo?

Wow! What a...fortunate goal that was, but I'll take it. In the end, it was well taken by Chavez.
Jeez! Signs of life in this match for Boca, finally.

GOLAZZOOO VIATRI. GOLAZO! Garcia is dumbfounded! You can tell he didn't think Viatri could produce something like that. Now, that is something to cheer about.

    2-0 good guys!

Now that's some big screen action for you! I'm gonna need to make a whole lot more money and become corrupt to get a spot down there. Friggin awesome!

Good result even if we didn't deserve it for long stretches of the match. Pochi just doesn't look comfortable in that role but his goal was taken nicely. Viatri was huge on that golazo as well. The defense was solid at best but watching Schiavi play these last few matches is painful to watch. He needs to much less minutes.

Now, that was much better than last week. The team is still nowhere near where it was with Riquelme, but we are starting to see some positive signs. Viatri is starting to emerge as a serious threat. And the defense is coming together. Something to build on.
