Yep that's why we've got to keep the initiative.

What a save by Werner! Would've been a golazo for Colon. Somehow reacted and got the extension to push it over the bar in time.

Messidoro is playing well with the reserva. Boca is loaded in midfield, but he will make his mark soon.

Golazo de Pavon, venía desenchufado, pero avisó en una anterior que salvó el arquero, y ahora la metió. Ojalá gane en confianza, es un pibe talentoso.

Isn't he just on loan though? He was always promising since his early days at Atletico Rafaela, reason why Atletico Madrid bought him despite his young age.

I wonder who Boca will go after in January, given Sara's injury and Werner only having 6 months left at the club.. Marchesin was always Guille's obsession, but he just moved to Club America. I hear Andujar and Guzman are possibilities, but who knows..

Cuatro pepas a riBer, cuatro a Colón...

Desde que volvió el crack Gago, Boca está imparable.

Yeah he has been amazing! We've been waiting a long time for that sort of performance from our midfield.

So barring Boca losing and San Lorenzo winning by a combination of 13 goals this torneo is a done deal, right?

Or the second half of the season hasn't been scheduled yet, obviously. Can't find any dates. :p

With Estudiantes losing and San Lorenzo getting a draw, Boca goes into the break in first place three points ahead of second place Newells and San Lorenzo.

Amazing! Just a few days ago we were eight points behind Estudiantes.

Sucks to have to wait a couple of months for the tournament to resume. I don't get the point of having a long tournament aligned with the European calendar, if they are going to cut it in half and take a two month plus break. All the teams are going to look different after the break. If that's the case, then why not have two tournaments, or one that is played without a long break, starting in February and ending in December?

A February-December tournament would be even more catastrophic, since the main transfer window in Europe (and most leagues for that matter) takes place in June-August. If your concern is about Argentine teams being dismantled in the middle of the season, this proposition would just make things waaaay worse.

As for the extended break period that we currently have, it is a bit excessive (a little over a month), but atleast it gives teams that additional preseason time to prepare for the year ahead. Plus, knowing how slow Argentine clubs tend to be with player negotiations, we wouldn't really be seeing any incorporations in the January transfer window if it were only 1-2 weeks long.

I don't know, you're right about the transfer window, and it would be a huge distraction to keep the tournament going while the teams are dealing players. Then maybe going back to two short tournaments is the answer. One tournament with a long break in the middle seems wrong. Just when things are getting good, you stop everything and lose all the momentum. Then a couple of months later it all starts over. Some teams, even big teams, will wait all summer and then go into the preseason knowing full well that they are already in a deep hole and have no shot at the title. It sucks if you are a fan of Velez or Central for example.

I'm not a fan of huge breaks either. That was the most annoying thing about following the Rowdies in NASL. Of course its break also came after 10 games, not even the halfway point, which was especially stupid because they gave the "champion" of that little sprint a playoff spot.

I would split the difference and make it a 3 week break instead of two months. Do we really need the Torneo de Verano?

The long break must be really hard for you knowing you will only be playing once a week until 2018! Mirala x Fox! JAJAJA
