VS Sunday December 4 18:00 (Hora Argentina) Stadium: La Bombonera TV: Telefe STREAM: http://telefe.com/ (Argentina only) VAMOS BOOOOOCA!!!!!! Likely lineup: Boca beat Racing 1-0 on aggregate in the Libertadores with the lone goal coming on the road back in April. Last league meeting was a 1-0 win for Racing on their grounds back in February. It's going to be another tight one if that trend holds.
GOOOOOOOLLL! Insua puts it into his own goal after Gago finds Fabra on the left who sends in a dangerous cross forcing the error.
GOOOOOOOOOLL DE BOU!! 2-0 Boca! Peruzzi finds him open in the middle of the box and he turns and slots it inside the far post.
GOOOOOOOLLL! Otra vez Bou! Dropped right to him. 3-0 Boca! Doh make that 3-1 as they concede off a long ball down the left side.
Tevez wastes a breakaway and Racing pull within one after Sara fails to control his save of a free kick and puts the rebound right out to the middle. Ugh. GOOOOLLL!! Tevez makes up for the miss. 4-2.
Tevez and Gago are cracks, but everybody knows that. The big surprise to me is Bou's little brother. I was skeptical, but Boca took a chance on him and it appears to be paying off. On the negative side, the central defenders are still playing like crap, and I am seriously doubting that Sara is the answer at goalkeeper. Still, we are starting to play well enough as a team to be legitimate contenders.
I bet you guys can't wait for the clasico to be over so you can concentrate on the most important game, the one you prepared for since tevez returned....
While we're posting old things... Meanwhile we're playing for the championship and you guys are down there in... wow... can barely see you down there in 10th!
VS Sunday December 11 17:00 (Hora Argentina) Stadium: Estadio Monumental TV: Canal Trece STREAM: https://www.eltrecetv.com.ar/ (Argentina only) VAMOS BOOOOOCA!!!!!! Likely lineup: The last two league meetings were scoreless draws but Boca won the last two before that. A win will be needed to keep pace with Estudiantes at the top of the table and could even put them top if San Martin pull off an upset and at least hold them to a draw.
Forgot to note that Axel Werner debuts in goal tonight after Sara suffered an injury in practice. Hope he's ready! Sometimes the adrenaline rush of a big game helps.
Before the game, I wish you all good luck. I love to troll you all, but I think the Chapecoense air tragedy has told us that football is not that important, yet at the same time it is. The amount of people that went to pay tribute in Medellin shows this. The tributes show us that football is more than a game. Nothing can bring people together like our game. Sadly it divides people as well, but lets hope in the future, there will be less violence and more coming together. So, while rivalries don't end, lets hope it is a civil game. I don't want us to sing "vamos a matar a todos los bosteros" because we know life is fragile. Too fragile. But maybe, we'll sing "tiraste gas, abandonaste" hahaha That being said, I do want to whip you asses. ASF, Burr, and @Moishe, wherever he is, you guys are awesome. We have fun trolling each other, but in the end we are all argentine, but more importantly, human beings. Any air tragedy, and especially this most recent, teaches this that in reality, we're all on the same team. So good luck, but enjoy the rivalry. BRING IT ON
Agreed. Fantastic post! Boca wouldn't be much without River, and vice versa. That's what makes the sport so wonderful. I hope we never have to go through what Brazil just did. Let's put on a good show for the world and do our part.
Lets hope the directors of our clubs get it right. The national team flew on that same plane. Apparently, there were eight similar incidences where they didn't have enough fuel in case of emergency. Its just insanity. How can a pilot take off knowing that he doesn't have enough fuel? This is what makes the whole tragedy so horrible... Is that it was completely avoidable and that the people at fault knew that it was a potential problem. And to think Messi and co. flew on that plane. Not saying Messi is worth more than the poor 71 people who died, but it would have struck closer to home. Luckily, I'm not rich enough to charter a plane. I just fly on American, if I'm going to the US, or Aerolineas if I'm flying domestically, and depends on which country when I'm going to europe, either AilItalia or Iberia or British... And i'm a middle class guy, maybe upper middle class (i'm not proud of it, but in argentina i am much better off), i can't imagine how a director, who is rich as hell regardless of which club he is, could contract such an airline. I honestly find it horrible. It makes me want travel on ships or trains... But then I remember that commercial airlines go through so many checks, but i wonder why private planes are not.
And also, I agree that River and Boca need each other. Without one or the other, the league doesn't feel the same. Also, remember how much playing River or Boca means to the rest. Even Racing, Independiente, and San Lorenzo are jealous they're not part of this great party
