Tevez scores by bouncing the ball off the defender. I wonder if he'll get the credit or they'll call it an own goal.

Halftime Boca 1 Crucero 0. Boca could have scored a couple more. Bad penalty taken by Tevez, and I'm not sure if the call was correct, but Boca had plenty of chances, especially in the first 25 minutes. They slowed down a bit towards the end.

Flojo pero sin sobresaltos, Boca ganó 1 a 0 y está cada vez mas cerca del título.

Parece que hay amargura, eh? Tranquilizate, pibe, que todavía no salimos campeones. Faltan tres fechas.

It's difficult to evaluate this game because Boca controlled the game easily, the rival didn't do anything to trouble us, and yet the effort wasn't there, they simply looked off.

Orion 6: Solid but didn't have to do anything other than one routine save.
Peruzzi 6: Joined the attack well, but nothing memorable.
Cata 5: One bad challenge that could have been a penalty.
    Tobio 5: Looked nervous.
Monzon 4: Bad second half, made mistakes that a better opponent could have profited from.
Betancur 6: Clean, solid game without standing out.
Erbes 6: Wasn't challenged much, but played okay.
Colazo 5: Was there, but didn't do a whole lot.
Lodeiro 6: Played very well most of the first half, very active when Boca was creating danger. Then got lost in the general mediocrity.
Tevez 6: Showed his brilliance at times but intermittently. Responsible for the winning goal, but also missed a penalty.
Calleri 6: Barely missed his goal several times, but worked hard.
Fuenzalida 5: Came in, and nothing changed.

What's that? We can't hear you when you're all the way down in 7th place. Might as well go back down to la B where you're more comfortable.

Dejo esto por acá, from a game that actually COUNTS, pelotudo! :D

HAHAHA you want to talk about winning a 30 team league. El que no salta, no va a japon!!!!!

Don't forget, we own every trophy CONMEBOL organizes.

Also don't forget, your idol is villero, drug dealer, and he almost ended ham's career. Did you see what he did to that Ecuadorian the other night? He paid ham 100,000 to shut up and praise him, he's lucky. I'm glad my team has idols like Barovero, Enzo, Carrizo, and not scum like Tevez- the man is a cancer to society and a danger to other players. You play boca, between Tevez and Orion, your career could end

Also- if you're american, why are you a bostero? You'd think with the education there is in the states, you'd have learned boca is the team of criminals... like tevez

I'm well aware of the stereotypes of bosteros, but my dad and his dad were Boca fans, so I was raised into it. None of us are criminals (in fact we're all pretty white collar, anti-Peronist, etc.). It's just a team to us, not our lifestyle. Do you have any proof that Tevez is a drug dealer, or are you just holding his troubled past against him? I like how he injures one guy and suddenly he's a butcher. So melodramatic. I get that there's this whole classist backdrop to Boca-River, but it's not 100% true, there's good and bad people on both sides.

Why even pay attention to this myopic troll, the preeminent source of racist/classist/pseudo-elitist drivel on these forums? You're trying to reason with someone who tells us countless times he doesn't even want to pretend to bring any semblance of thought and measure when it comes to his River fanaticism.

Fair enough. I'm new enough to not really know the history of the forums.

Just trying to save you some aggravation. Let's enjoy what should soon be the celebration of another title.

He lost the plot. Sad to see, that's what going to la B does to a guy. :D

After the break, Boca plays the clasico against Racing. A win would bring us very close to the title, and while we should not get ahead of ourselves, with the right set of results we could possibly be celebrating this weekend.

Let's take care of business because I am ready to celebrate. It may just be a 30-team title, and not a la B title, but I'll be happy all the same. By the way, is la B still better? I'm asking for a friend.

To be fair to our mutual friend, it's true that since teams like riBer, Crucero del Norte, Aldosivi, Sarmiento, Defensa y Justicia etc found their way to first division, the league's quality has become watered down a bit. :D

No question about it. The good thing is that small teams like that usually find their way back to la B. So we may not have to suffer that for too long.

San Lorenzo is playing at Olimpo right now. If San Lorenzo loses and Central doesn't win, Boca wins the title with a draw. If San Lorenzo draws, Boca wins the title with a win. If San Lorenzo wins, Boca can't clinch today regardless of the score.

    It's 0 - 0 in the first half.

    Gol de Olimpo!

    Halftime results:
    Olimpo 1 San Lorenzo 0
    Central 1 Argentinos 0

If these results hold, Boca would win the title by beating Racing.
