Through ball to Cole, he's onside, Traore hacks him down on the edge of the box. Free kick. No yellow? Ok then.

Ferguson and Thompson stading over it, Ferguson takes, over the wall, off the post. Kirkland beaten. Cleared. 0-0. Barely.

Looks like sami's hamstring is playing up and Riise is warming up.

I'm a little late tuning in.

I'm a little surprised by the backline. Who's at right back? The E-Ticket Console shows Henchoz, but I'd think it would be Biscan.

Considering I did precious little this morning, it's not so bad.

I tried that with someone else last week. They didn't believe me.

Biscan's on the right and Traore's on the left, but they've both had license to go forward and have done so frequently.

Thompson dummies Hyypia, Yorke with a clear header at the back post, over Biscan, that's in. 34' 1-0.

I swear, me doing comms is one of the biggest jinxes in the history of jinxes. Can someone take over? I love doing comms and all, but I'd rather win. I am far too superstitious.

Heskey misses an easy one. Blackburn clear. Ferguson to Thompson, long ball up, out of play.

And they hit the bar right before that.

Time for sami to leave, he is struggling badly.

  9. This is taking a familiar, ominous turn . . . 1-0 down against the run of play.

Why the hell do we get ourselves into these situations?

Crap! I can see that my support isn't helping. I'll turn the game off again and get back to work--sacrificing for the good of the team, you know.

  12. I thought there were reports that he'd hurt himself in pre-match warm-ups--can anyone confirm?

Cole with a chip, just inches wide of the post.

Murphy with a good ball up to TLT, seeks out FSP, too long.

Lot of space for Yorke, Reid, Gresko crosses, Kirkland takes safely.

TLT tripped up, FK, Gerrard to Murphy, through ball, FSP in, brought down all alone, PENALTY. Red card for Babbel? Or is it Neil? Nope, it's Neil.

Panties, Panties, Panties, Panties. . .

Murphy to take the PK. Got it. 1-1. 40'

    Murphy to take...

Soccernet described it as a harsh red card, so that makes it even sweeter. :)

Rock on. Neill doesn't like playing full matches against Liverpool, does he?

Check your previous posts. I'll think you'll find that Blackburn scored when you stopped the panty talk. Then you started again, and hey presto... 1-1

Thompson takes the corner, too high, LFC with a chance to break, nothing doing.

Back to dawdling in the midfield.

Murphy, just outside the box, good shot in, saved by God. Spuds playing well.

    Kewell warming up. Thank God.

Ah, the "harsh" red. A Mike Riley specialty.

And, just as that happens, I get a crapload of work dumped on me.

Gerrard past two players, loses it, won back, TLT now, good move, drags a shot wide.

Reid, ball over the top, headed clear by Hyypia. More fiddling. Probably playing out time. Biscan gives it straight to Cole. What the hell? Ball out of play. That's the half.

1-1, they're down to ten, maybe we can actually create some danger with our 7 midfielders in the second half.

    From Soccernet:
"....Zzzzz.....Zzzzzz.....That's the last action before the break. The ref blows for half-time."
