According to TeamTalk the Blackburn Rovers U-19 and U-17 teams are playing this week in Florida. Does anybody have any news about where they are playing or who they are playing? http://www.teamtalk.com/teamtalk/Team_News/0,1562,5,00.html
Have to assume Jemal Johnson will be with them. It would be great if someone could give us an eyewitness report on this young YA.
I would imagine Jemal will have the choice between the US and England?? Has he even been asked to participate with our youth teams?? He's been in England since age 5...you can kind of tell by reading some of his quotes, very English vernacular...kind of like Friedel
I'd love to give a report (in a central Florida location) if someone could tell me where they will be playing.
That is true...of course, their website glows about his ability to find the back of the net. And considering he is working in the same youth system that produced Duff and David Dunn, who was a regular on England's youth squads, and a reserve for England's WC squad, it seems like he is in a good place. Granted individuals are individuals, but the fact that he seems to be shining for them bodes well for the US.
I know they are playing the Boston Bulldogs U-17 Y-League team, who flew down to Florida today. Not sure where or when though.
i would be willing to bet they either play at the disney complex in orlando or at the bolletieri complex where the u-17's do residency.
how long are they in Florida for? Seems like that would be a good match for the U17s (who are currently in N. Carolina and at some point soon going to Finland).
