Eventually somebody will start a thread just like this one again, I'm sure. I think it will be fun to track the teams over time.
Of course, what I find interesting is that all the teams that made the top twenty last time did so again this time.
Wierd I don't normally post in the Beautiful Game forum, and so the first thing I thought when I came here was to do this thread. Don't know why either... I found the thread from July..... THE REAL TOP TWENTY Funny that you wrote I swear I didn't know that thread existed until now.

I dont think Turkey have that good a side, and that Spain, Portugal, Holland and Argentina are far better, the same with Germany.
japan... the team so nice he ranked them twice - so which japan side is better than the US and which is worse?

Yeah, I hate it when people are swayed by meaningless crap like winning the World Friggin Cup without losing or drawing a single match. What were they thinking, ranking them ahead of a team that failed to score in the same World Cup. How stupid.

Except that Brazil found hard to qualify itself for this "World Friggin Cup", qualifying on its last match in the easiest qualifying group (south america). How stupid. Except that if we look the 4 last "world tournaments", Brazil won 1 (2002) and France won 3 (1998, 1999, 2003) and won the european championship (2000). How stupid. Except that in direct confrontations, Brazil get owned by France everytime they meet for the last 4 years. How stupid. Except that Brazil won the last WC because their 3 best offensive players (have they any defensive anyway?) didnt play european cups the year before WC and werent tired. Two R were injuried and one R was in PSG which means no European competition. How stupid.
That's when the traditional English virtues of hard work and superior fitness usually pay off. Pigs - I dunno why you're bothering to argue the toss on this one. People on BigSoccer are always going to rank England behind teams like Spain, Holland and the Czech Republic (and latterly Turkey), based on..... well, based on bugger-all in reality except their idealised perceptions of how they think these teams play football. And whilst they do so, they will also whinge on about how 'overrated' England are (whilst at the same time putting teams like Mexico and the USA - ha! - in the Top 10).
this is an excellent point and for the record, i did not put the US in the top 10... and i never called england 'overrated' - i said they were underwhelming
The rest of your stuff is wrong too, but on the above: While Brazil hadn't _technically_ qualified until the last match, they essentially qualified with two games left. They needed to lose their last two (with Venezuela at home in the last match), Colombia needed to win their last two, and then also had to make up 16 goals worth of goal differential in the last two games. Chances of that happening? 0%. Brazil was in. And if you think CONMEBOL is easier to qualify from than any Confederation, than I can see why you think the team that failed to score any goals in the World Cup against Denmark, Uruguay and Senegal is the best team in the world.

He wasn't the only one, just take a look at..... he ranked 21 teams. Clanblue ranked Spain twice, which is predictable, El CHarro_NEgro obviously can't count. Even when you pointed out to NYguy218 that he ranked Japan twice, Ombak obviously thought it would be funny to rank Denmark 10th and 18th!! Anyway, I did include these rankings, for people wondering how, well, I’ll use Clanblue as an example..... original rankings - what were included 01.France.....(20) - 20 02.Brazil.....(19) - 19 03.Italy......(18) - 18 04.Argentina..(17) - 17 05.Czech......(16) - 16 06.England....(15) - 15 07.Germany....(14) - 14 08.Spain......(13) - 13 09.Holland....(12) - 12 10.Spain......(11) - 11.Ireland....(10) - 11 12.Denmark....( 9) - 10 13.Turkey.....( 8) - 9 14.Portugal...( 7) - 8 15.Sweden.....( 6) - 7 16.Senegal....( 5) - 6 17.Nigeria....( 4) - 5 18.Switz’.....( 3) - 4 19.Romania....( 2) - 3 20.USA........( 1) - 2
