The administrator's victory party was spoiled as a Revolution triumph would have locked up the WPL title barring a multigoal MLS Cup decision. Wow. I'm almost worried about my pick, because I've seen several cases where a team exerts so much energy (physical and emotional) in the semifinals and does not do well in the actual championship. Nevertheless, I felt that NE posed the biggest threat to DC (you all probably would've laughed at that last week). 1 DCU KCW I'm glad to have played an all important role in this contest--to round out the bottom half of the table. After all, someone has to serve as cannon fodder in any battle. I do find it a tad ironic that I finished #1 out of 3000+ people in the MFLS Prediction League this year but couldn't even crack the top 10 in either competition in this (much) smaller group. Then again, I think that says more about my strategy than my skill.

Hell yeah! It took me all season, a #5 finish and lots of trying to finally win a Weekly Cup! I had a strategery going into this. Use the pick in order. You can't tie in the final three games, so save 9, 10, 11 for those games. Pick the conference winners (wow DC!) and then pick the Wiz to win the Cup. So..... 11 KCW DCU Dred- Is it mathematically possible for me to win it all?
The short answer is no, but it is possibley. In order for you to win, all of the following must happen KC must win (you bet on KC) Flash and Jose must bet on DC. (Jose already did) (Bigger available bet, currently more points) You need a 3 goal victory if NoSix bets on KC, You need a 6 goal victory if Dred bets on KC. When I bet on KC, You need a 2 goal victory to share the championship (tie breaker?) with me (or more than 2 to win outright). (Smaller available bet, currently more points) If Quango also picks KC you can only share a championship with Quango (same available bet, same number of points) If Crewbasher picks KC, KC must win by less than 33 goals Good Luck Also, Since Jose already bet on DC, if DC wins Jose wins (assuming less than a 96 goal victory)

How about me? What are my chances? It's been a fun ride even if I do suck at WPL. This MLS season has not been a total loss for me: I did win a DC United jersey autographed by the whole team and a FIFA 2004 PS2 game from Sporting News' MLS Fantasy Challenge (pats self on back ). Of course, I don't currently own a Playstation console but that is besides the point. Dred, thank you again for organizing this league.
