Which derby game do you think it the biggest in the UK? I mean which do you think is the most exciting rivalry game. Apologies if I have missed out any other main derby games.
if it was just in england, I probably would have given the nod to liverpool v. everton, but I gave it to the Old Firm instead. Way too much history there to compare it with the others.
How do you think Newcastle vs Boro is a derby game? How could you forget that festering crater that is sunderland?
City vs Rovers, of course! City having won the first in over 3 years (albeit only a friendly) last August. No violence other than the blue & white thugs trying (poorly) to bash through police cordons in Filton Avenue...
Yep, Boro v SMB's or Geordies v SMB's is much bigger... But where the hell is Cardiff v Swansea? You Welsh hating fools.
How is Chelsea vs Arsenal a derby? Isn't Chelsea's historical rivalry with Fulham or QPR? And West Brom's rivalry is with Wolverhampton, isn't it?
One of the most fearce and bitter rivalrys in English football is between Blackburn and Burnley. Both teams are founder members of the English football league making the tie one of the oldest derby games in Britain and the whole world. Over a hundred years ago when the matches where first played, the two towns (seperated by 5 miles) where playing for more than pride of football. They where football and business rivals, as both towns had thriving cotton industries. Back then the only people watching the games where mill workers let out early on saturday afternoons to watch the teams sponsored and paid for by there very own employers, hence the traditional 3 0'clock kick of in the English game. With Burnley being lower in the league tables than Blackburn for many years now, the two teams rarely meet. but when they do the passion of both sets of supporters is enough to rival Celtic/Rangers and Liverpool/United!
On that list the Old Firm but in England it's Manchester City vs Manchester United Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal Everton vs Liverpool in my opinion those are the biggest as those derby fixtures have been played in the top flight than any other derbies. Though the biggest game in England itself is Manchester United vs Liverpool England's too most sucsessful clubs, most supported clubs and mancs hate scousers and scousers hate mancs
I still laugh when I see the picture of the Burnley fan trying to batter Savage, and cacking it when Ried had a go at him.
don't agree with Newcastle vs Middlesborough or Arsenal vs Chelsea being in the derby category.i might dislike chelsea but i don't think it's a derby between Arsenal and Chelski
How about lower league rivalries? Cardiff v Swansea Bristol City v Bristol Rovers Cardiff v Millwall (infact anyone v Millwall) Wolves v West Brom Wrexham v Chester Watfors v Luton Torquay v Exeter Preston v Blackpool
Newcastle v Middlesbrough, never heard such nonsense Stoke City v's Port Vale, I've been to one and Jesus Christ, Mary Mother of God was I in need of a new pair of pants and 15 pints for that experience, they are all friggin loop-da-loop!

Its nice to see that Leicester have us as their third main rival. Apart from that no one else dislikes Cov. I suppose there is always Nuneaton Borough
I voted for the Old Firm: Celtic Vs Rangers In England, I would have to say Milwall vs West Ham. I must say that it doesnt happen often enough..
Apart from the old firm theres no big rivalries in the uk compared to leagues in the same stature as the english league. Where the flares ,the flags the banners THE ULTRAS?
