I'll be depressed most the season, starting tonight. From what I have seen the first two games I just don't think IU has it this year.

Wake at Illinois tonight...first time in about 25 years the Illini have hosted the #1 team. Should be a war, hopefully we can shoot like we did against Gonzaga.
"Orange Krush" students have apparently been camping out overnight for this one.

Good win for the Badgers over my Terps last night..

It's tough to play in Madison and even tougher to play against that Bob Gansler style basketball up there in cheeseland..

Too bad Maryland's two best players decided to build a few brick houses (Gilchrist 2-14 and Caner-Medley 2-9 with 7 turnovers)..

Hopefully we'll see you guys at the Big Dance in March..

Although MSU lost to Duke, it was a good game and they will be a force this year. It should be exciting and between Illinois, MSU and Wisconsin for the Big 10 title, with Iowa as the dark horse.

Iowa's off to a surprising start. They beat Louisville and Texas in Maui before UNC caught up with them. Alford seems to do extremely well in tournaments, but sometimes his teams suffer through the regular season. This team should beat some people, but will probably have a few letdowns.

21 point illini lead at the half

    c'mon illini

gotta keep run and gunning... tough d, smarter fast break passing and don't always shoot before we get set for the board

    but seriously... keep it coming...

21 point lead and zero points from deron

    54-33 at the half

    wow

still... 20 minutes left to play, i expect wake to come back... but can they come back all the way??

Illini beat a talented but inexperienced Arkansas team 72-60 today...considerably sloppier than their last two efforts, but this was a game a lot of people were worried about and to come away with a 12-point win is pretty good.

Chicago State visits on Monday, and then at Georgetown on Thursday.

Another solid road win for Illinois tonight, good to see us win without hitting a bunch of threes. Nice reverse alley-oop by Head too.

nice to see my Fighting Illini #1 again this week :)

iowa (this pains me to say it) has a very good starting 5. if they make the NCAA tournament the Boy Wonder saves his job.

the "Mike Davis Farewell Tour 2004-05" rolls into Columbia, MO to take on Quinny the Pooh. winner gets to keep his job for another week.
