Do you mean can someone make a recording and convert it into a format that an iPod or any MP3 player could play? Yes.
The first CD I had issues with was Velvet Revolver. Are they Sony? When I tried to import the damned thing into iTunes, I had to disable the stupid software Sony wanted me to install. It wasn't hard to do, but I will agree it was a pain.
Sony is going to get an @ss-r@pe on this one. I'm glad too. Placing software on your machine without your knowledge is fvcking evil! Their statment that this software is not Malware is false... BOYCOTT SONY! ~worm~ Glad I used my old G4 for my music burning... seeing that this Sony DRM Malware crap is a MS issue so far.
Too late now, Sony. That's like teaching someone judo self defense after you just whacked them over the head with a cricket bat...
We're talking to Brad tonight. I'm sure the whole Sony Rootkit fiasco will be brought up. I'll post links to the audio files tommorow morning.
Here are the links to the audio files: http://tllts.info/archives/tllts_109-11-09-05.ogg http://tllts.info/archives/tllts_109-11-09-05.mp3 Brad Templeton for the EFF comes in around the 26:30 mark.
Isnt there a class action lawsuit gathering stem on this issue? I thought I read the CA is getting something together on that front. Sonys going to get a nice slap... ~worm~
microsoft are treating rootkit as malware and are working on a way to remove it from infected p.c.'s good to see microsoft doing the right thing and takeing action over this.
