The ball trap and chilena was almost stuff of legend Instinctive genius and simply marvellous technique
I actually detest this guy BUT if that had gone in it would have gone down as one of the best goals ever ... at his age as well
Controls long ball with outside of the foot and scores. Hardly anyone remembers it or cares about it. Stuff of legend? Stuff of obscurity. Reputation is everything.
Not really https://www.planetfootball.com/nost...aldo-was-robbed-of-a-crazy-bicycle-kick-goal/ 15 years ago(2006) Consistency is everything He is known to instinctively create these types of unexpected feats of technical genius which is why he has the reputation he has I dont want to get into a long winded debate. It seems people like you a triggered by any suggestions CR/Messi did something great
Yes, he has an outlier good luck fitness history. The majority of high talent inconsistent players don’t have perfect fitness histories.
Some assist from Van Dijk this 🔥 pic.twitter.com/Cq25hjwzDP— Watch LFC (@Watch_LFC) October 12, 2021 calm as you like he’s virgil van dijk pic.twitter.com/UKkAcHTHlg— yas ³ (@yaskhx) October 16, 2021 Among players who can actually defend, that is. @PDG1978
Arteta: When you get past the Liverpool press, you then hit Van Dijk. He then hits a 60-yard pass to Mo Salah, and they are out of the press. That is quality.
For technique Baggio > Del Piero > Totti > Pirlo How do you see it? Btw I'd even have Gianni Rivera, Gianfranco Zola & Antonio Cassano ahead of Pirlo.
I don’t think I can grade them .. all so amazing yet in slightly different ways .. your three suggestions would be in my top 10 Italians along with Vialli , Mancini and De Canio
I think Del Piero at his peak was the most athletic though, and that certainly added to both his effectiveness and entertainment value for some.
That's true, I think Mancini is a brilliant shout and the younger Mazzola too can be included (I haven't watched the older one). Italy really produced so many of these technicians especially considering the defense-first reputation. For sure, the speed and agility before injury would have helped.

Best technique?! Glen Hoddle Apparently Michel Platini’s dad was absolutely amazed at Hoddle’s technique and sublime passing ability ( either foot )
