I have put up the goals but this is some of the near misses, failures in scoring from good play from Bernardo plus some nice touches and passes, enjoy (sorry for the %^^$*** ads). http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2pmlik
Ronaldo com 20/21 anos: 12 golos 9 no campeonato Messi com 20/21 anos: 16 golos 10 no campeonato Robben com 20/21 anos: 9 golos 7 no campeonato Bernardo com 20/21 anos (20/21 years) 10 golos 9 no campeonato (League goals) * *With one game remaining.
Goal and an assist (should have been 2 but the striker missed an open netter) in 2-0 victory. I was wondering how he'd respond after that painful loss last week to Marseille (where he hit a goal post that would have made it 2-0 and probably close the door on Marseille) and he was monster clutch today. And he's been clutch this whole critical stretch with 6 goals in 6 games to keep Monaco a nose ahead of Marseille in the race for CL qualification. His confidence on the ball, his IQ (movement for the 1st goal), his wheels, his passing, his nose for goal - he looks in every way like the real deal. Exciting times.
Interview in O Jogo. If your Portuguese is worse than mine he basically says that JJ was playing in positions that did not suit him like DM and did not believe in him and so in a crucial period in his career he had to seek other solutions. http://www.ojogo.pt/futebol/1a_liga/benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=4572542&page=-1
After a disappointing last weekend, Bernardo bounces back with easily the MOTM performance. YFC missed an open goal and he could of had maybe two other assists. 6 in 6 games with one to go, Monaco need to win to assure CL next year, the game is away to Lorient.
Another CL run next year with Jardim and we could see him really explode, but does anyone think he could crack top 10 players in the next couple of years with Monaco, or would he have to move to Spain or England to achieve the next level? Where would he be a good fit if he did move?
Getting the shirt (black) with Bernardo 8 (first cap vs Cape Verde, out of XL [I like extra loose shirts] but XXL might be too much plus that excellent training shirt with the flag imprint is only available in M in the UK shop). Even though Bernardo might not get close to Ronaldo when all is said and done, he has as far as I know, no prima-donna moments which I really detest.
He said in a interview recently that he is not learning French, ok, Jardim is the coach plus you have Carvalho, Moutinho, Carrasco (I think he can at least understand) plus a few Brazilians and he speaks good English (Berbatov, is not interested in learning French)...so don't read too much into it. However, with Monaco's sugar daddy, losing a bank load in a divorce plus the Fair Play regulations and that Jardim was brought in as a coach to rear youngsters to great heights like James Rodriguez, Monaco's new plan is to buy great young talent and sell huge while competing (CL bracket). They have though spent quite a lot on some of their youngsters but Silva, Carrasco, Martial, Kurzawa, Kondogbia and a couple of others could go for a healthy profit.
Monaco needed to win to ensure CL next year and with both Saint-Étienne and Marseille both winning Monaco managed to beat Lorient away 0-1. Bernardo had two good chances at the beginning that he snatched at and missed the target. However a while latter provided Carrasco with the opportunity to score which he just about toke. After a goal line clearance and a Martial saved penalty Monaco were still quite comfortable and at the end eased to a win with Lorient having already avoided relegation before the game.
Bernardo was named in the Young Team of the Year (21 or under), Fabinho (RB, Brazil) and Martial (CF, France) from Monaco also made the team. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015...of-the-year-including-arsenal-linked-nabil-f/

Bernardo makes the final list for the U21 Euro, virtually a mere formality. Above with Marcos Lopes before the Monaco - Lille game.
On the plane ride to Armenia Bernardo said that amongst other things that he is prepared to not have holidays this year due to the Armenia game and then the Euro U21 and adding that he has had many holidays 'Já tive muitas férias'.
William and Bernardo join the U21 from the A side in Otrokovice (Czech Republic). Twins separated at birth that fate brought together
I can't wait to see this guy in 2018 as a fully fledged professional, once you add experience to his ability.........holy crap what a player we have on our hands
Indeed he's really shining, hopefully he stays on this path and becomes a fantastic playmaker for the rest of his career, he has all the characteristics of a #10 Now imagine if Marcos Lopes can also return to form, imagine that creative midfield
He played a very good youth world cup, especially against Brazil. Like i said before, 2018 and 2022 are our greatest chance in history by far to win a World Cup. I'd rather win in 2018 with Ronaldo in the squad to crown him, as i dunno if at 37 (even with his fantastic physical condition) in Qatar (where all those guys will be at their top form) he would still be in the squad, but you never know.
Bernardo was MOTM against both England and Italy which were the first two games, no other player has 2 MOTM awards in the tournament. Started well against Sweden but then largely disappeared as did most of the team after Italy went 2-0 up against England in the other game in the first half. Bernardo, needs to really step up today against Germany today and our finishing has to be better.
