Witsel, Alderweireld will be rested. Perhaps also Kompany & Hazard.

I hope we get to see Januzaj at some point.

Should be an easy game, that being said we haven't played well the first two games, we only start playing around minute 70. Mirallas and lukaku with the goals today. 2-0 Rode Duivels!

Not sure how I feel about leaving both KDB and Hazard out. Though we should be alright in terms of creativity with young Januzaj getting a start.

Go Belgium. Finish with a blowout today, and you can ride off of that momentum to crush the Americans on Tuesday.

    We’ve had our ups-and-downs

Our fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds

That’s what made us what we are today

Now we stand here before you

What you see is a team crafted to perfection

A pair of wingers engineered to defy the laws of physics

And a mindset to master the most epic of victories

    Paraphrasing that fine poet JCVD

Is it taken from that commercial ... the one where JCVD performs a split between 2 trucks?

Belgium was pretty merciful along with that ref. Good luck the next round! (Well maybe not too much luck :p).

Random question- I looked it up and found out that roughly 60% of the Belgian population speaks Dutch while the remaining 40% speaks French. What language do the players speak to one another on the field? Is there a chance that one or two members of the team have trouble communicating with one another? (I also wonder the same thing about the Swiss team)

Most players are fluent in both languages ... those that are not probably use English as a lingua franca.

Most of the Flemish speakers speak both languages. As do several of the French-speaking players.

We r very lucky to have such an easy group and could have messed up it also. The whole team seems out of thought of what to do when they have the ball on their foot. The most disappointing thing for me is the total lack of speed of this teams! Wilmots have to think deep about playing van dan borre against the USA because he brings a completely different dimension to the right hand side of our team with his skill and dribbling. He looks a much better option than Toby. USA is a real tough team to crack at this moment. I gotta ask u guys something cause I haven't seen any of the qualifying matches, were they playing 'this football' through the qualifying rounds?

Yes and no. There were certainly performances which were equally bad. e.g. Macedonia home and away. Wales away wasn't great either. Having said that, they were really good at home vs. Scotland and away to Serbia. Especially the home game vs. Scotland where the ball tempo was incredibly high all through the game. They haven't achieved even a tenth of that during the WC for some reason. It can't still be nerves, not after three games.

One major worry: what will the legacy of this cup be if we play shit in the group stage but win the group, only to lose our first knock-out game?

There'll be no legacy except for the hype we let down. And Blondo would be able to tell anyone on this forum "I told u so" (I'm referring to his signature).

Look at the amount of propaganda that I've written ... is there anybody that can rival my wide-eyed optimism and unconditional love?
