It looks like Porto is going to send Ricardo Sousa to
Beira-Mar on loan, for the season.
    Good news for Beira-Mar fans.

    loja

The Loja Amarela (link at the website above) has some beautiful items. The polo, t-shirt, scarves, and gorra are great.

The web site is informative and easy to navigate. Nicely done.

    probably lineup for Beira-Mar

    Paulo Sergio
    Ribeiro or Toni
    Lobao
    Fernandez
    Areias
    Luis Manuel
    Levato
    Ricardo Sousa
    Gamboa
    Zezinho
    Rui Dolores

Again, I see Fary the two goal scored coming off the bench.
The best player on the team Juninho Petrolina is close to be KO for the game, when he re injury again, another big name on the team is Debenest.

Beira-Mar lost to Benfica 2-0, but I am happy the way they played, they look like they are a team to contend for the top 10, in the portuguese Super League.
Next game for Beira-Mar will be 9/15/02 at Uniao Leiria.

I agree I don't think Uniao de Leiria got the same players like last year, instead Beira-Mar got 3/4 of the players back, and some are signed for the next four years. In the radio they said the coach's son Ricardo Sousa had a great game, the best in months. They also mention when Carlitos got in the game, a Beira-Mar player at the begin of the second half, Beira-Mar lost a couple close chances to score.

Do you ever read your mail?
    I got nothing to hide.

Going back to Beira-Mar, the game with Leiria is going to be a very important game. Leiria is playing the games in Marinha Grande do to the rebuilding of the Leiria stadium.

    In five years
The league with 10 new stadiums, better quality referees, Pinto da Costa retiring we will be fine, maybe will see Guimaraes, Beira-Mar win a championship.

    Frank,

I don't think that could ever happen. Just because these teams have new arenas does not mean they will figure out how to fill the stadia when the Big 3 teams are not in town. It really all comes down to money, and these smaller clubs are always going to be way inferior to Benfica, Sporting and Porto. It is just the way things go. It was only 2001 when a non-Big 3 team (Boavista) finally won a championship. I just don't see something like that happening in this day and age.

I love the city of Aveiro, I hope you stop by one of the biggest Mall's in Portugal, I was a lot with Pinho ex goalkeeper for the Portuguese Club, we were part of the team that won the NJ State Championship under 23 in 1991 head coach was Manso.
