still alot to talk about on this subject.. so lets open this up again.. (note mods, document when you want to shut down these threads in future please). Glad to see BeIN is on Comcast..that deal happened VERY fast.. looks like they took the money and ran.. I can ASSURE all UVERSE subscribers that the BeIN deal is done.. has been for about 2 weeks.. the holdup is on AT&T... some technical issues as well as getting their PR machine rolling to maximize the launch.. they look like they have other carriage agreements that they are going to announce at the same time.. my guess would be within the next week. TWC are in negotiations also.. but here is the problem.. they WILL sign a CORPORATE contract but it is up to the regional divisions to sign up for the channel.. this may make it unavailable for quite some time.. unless BeIN can mandate that they are in at least 3-4 large markets.. it may be a while for this channel to show up. Couple of things that still are bothering customers... the HD visuals.. its like they have TURNED UP the VIVID button to 11. I can attest to this watching the Bolton game today.. it looked like they were 3d blurred broadcast. Another is still the RAY AND PHIL show... people hate the fact that the comedy duo line up for a day full of matches in their Miami studio.. when there is TIER 1 TALENT on site at the stadiums... this one has been a big point of contention on alot of Arabic boards.. hmm I wonder if YOUSSEF is listening.. Good to see we are starting to see some of the content from the Middle East Version..hopefully this will continue. Bein Sport is still looking to expand to 4channels.. ala Sky Sports model.. but it will take another couple of years before they get to expand... that will rule them out for any "primary" EPL bid, at least for this cycle. nice to see Ollie has reinvented himself as a looney Canadian... maybe he thinks we will forget his crazy ass ideas. Cantona---
Is it safe to assume that Verizon are still being idiots about this? Why of all the carriers does mine have to be so stupid about this situation??
hate to say it.. yes.. they have been engaged.. but no movement.. the Bein focus right now from what i understand is TWC. They seem to focus on one carrier and pick them off one by one.. they not ignoring Verizon..just not as big a priority. My feeling is that it will get done... just be patient.. Cantona---
It appears they're just going down the list. Cox and Charter are the next largest providers. Fios and others are a bit further down.
So no news about Beinsport.tv offering games streaming, those "oferflow" matches that cant be live on tv
This is BeIN's biggest fail to date... software programmers do NOT HAVE the systems setup for multi-platform live viewing...this was SUPPOSED to be available from day 1. IT WASNT.. and they have been scrambling every since....even BeIN right now DO NOT KNOW when they we be able to launch the online service...another reach from the Miami IMAGINA people... they didnt get the right people on the job for this.. There is NO DATE that I am aware of that this will be ready for multiplatform viewing.. there live feed is ready as was demonstrated with the freeview.. but compared to the MiddleEast version.. this one is being run by amateurs.. The Sheik DOES realize that this launch has been missed... at some point IMAGINA will be held accountable.... aka Briceno. Cantona---
Happy to hear Uverse will have beIN! I was getting very upset. How do you know? I cannot find this news anywhere but here.
Hey, stiff A--Brit, go buy a clue. You obviously missed the memo when Phil Mushnick (New York Post) starting writing about this company on August 3 and against on August 20. Mushnick only starts writing when the "dynamic duo" upstairs are too busy counting "beANs" in their LTG Bank accounts.
Bolton v Nottingham Forest looked horrible. More irritating thing though was that I flipped on Bein to watch end of Lyon v Evian last night at 1230 as per their website schedule and found N Power game on instead. Directv guide still not updated, and Bein website guide doesn't seem to be 100% accurate either.
In the Uverse forums I frequent everybody seems to think that there is no deal yet for Beintv.[I tell them that there is a deal but nobody believes me.....even the people who claim to be insiders]
so one guy left the forum then his rival Cantona is stepping up and being a douche to fill the vacuum? just leave the personal stuff alone alright. hoping TWC gets done soon, they are usually good with this kind of thing. even if its on the sports tier it'll be great..
Good game tape delay on beIN en espanol at 7 pm MADRID B - BARCELONA B, 2nd Division Spain. A lot of good players om both sides and future Division 1 players.....
Good god. What are they doing. Why do they need to pay free-lancers to cover leagues that have high quality feeds. They use these feeds for JSC. Why do they think people in the US need a US voice for non-US leagues? I'm glad to hear that other folks are seeing this problem with the image. I noticed it with Red Star-Bordeaux and am now watching Evian-Lyon with the same problem (silver, magnetic effect from certain camera positions). They need to fix this. Although my daughter is excited that the sparkle on the players gives the match a Twilight-effect. Vampire soccer. Finally, DirecTV subscribers should note that the on-screen guides do not reflect the BeIN on-line guide. The on-screen guide can't be correct unless matches have been moved around. I would set your DVR with the Manual option if you want to watch the games you actually wanted to record. On the plus side, Phil and that Irish guy called the Red Star-Bordeaux game and the overall experience was much more enjoyable because that other guy doesn't talk a lot and never screams. This kept Phil on the mellower/informative side of things.
Heard very similar info to what Cantona has said. Crazy to me that Comcast got to the finish line before UVerse and TWC when it seemed those other two had a major leg up to start the week. Everyone knows how those Comcast roll outs go, though. Verizon won't even put major negotiators on the phone with the Imagina execs. beIN has tried to get a multi-game streaming platform going(a la Fox Soccer 2 go) but the $ they are willing to spend for this is an absolute joke. They are apparently hoping a high schooler would be able to set up a platform to support thousands of people watching online at once because no professional company could get away with producing something so grand for so little.
I noticed this problem right from the get go, totally unacceptable picture quality! This silver, magnetic effect is so annoying. They need to address this problem ASAP!!!
Imagina U.S. just can't shake its old habits from its roots as an "ultra low cost" Hispanic TV production house, can it? Again, Phil Mushnick (New York Post) would not have started writing about beAN SPORT and Imagina U.S. if he hadn't heard from his sources about the "beANs" that are going into accounts at exotic financial institutions such as "LGT Bank".
I think they want a very cheap option on the streaming front because they don't really want to rely on that for more than a season or 2. The reason for that is that they want 3+ channels eventually.
So, to recap: DirecTV is supposed to offer two BeIN channels which theoretically are supposed to show 2 different things at the same time? Right? I only get the 426 one and not the 620 one: can anyone/confirm deny whether they both show the same thing? Or if indeed 620 shows something different (perhaps a different "live" game at the same time) ? Thanks in advance for any help/info.
