An odd, little profile from Tanvir Khan of Zee News (India), including a list of Beckham's tattoos: http://www.zeenews.com/articles.asp?aid=440309&sid=ZNS
David Beckham has reportedly filmed a guest appearance on Sesame Street. The LA Galaxy footballer and father-of-three was invited onto the hit US kids TV show last week, where he introduced a new word to fluffy red puppet Elmo and the viewers, according to The Sun newspaper. Re: Beckham on Sesame Street Witty Swedish Chef joke? Or stupid post? You be the judge. Wouldn't make sense either way since Swedish Chef was on the Muppet Show.
Re: Beckham on Sesame Street 5!!! 5 free kick goals into the top corner "AH AH AH AH AH!" (thunder and lightning go off in the background)
Re: Beckham on Sesame Street I bet if Big Bird insulted him, his team and his teammates, he wouldn't go on Sesame Street either.
Re: Beckham on Sesame Street Oh well, I cant please everyone all of the time And I couldnt find a Glory Glory online translator so had to go with the Swedish one instead.
Re: Beckham on Sesame Street I suggest you use your Google more effectively! Although any mention of the Swedish Chef should be appreciated, so I concede a point.
Happy birthday, David Beckham! Two wishes for you: 1. Be injury-free for the whole season. 2. Have a baby daughter. Happy 33rd birthday!
Re: Happy birthday, David Beckham! Happy Birthday Becks! Put LA into the Playoffs 2008 and to the best teams in the USA!
Re: Happy birthday, David Beckham! Also, David you need to score some more goals since the crowd goes REALLY crazy when you score and all the highlights shows give soccer a boost since they show your goals!! So, it's good for you, the team, and helps promote the game if you score more goals!!
Re: Beckham's Birthday? thank you for this thread! now we can talk freely about Becks' off-pitch activities. nice! and oh...HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKS! my wishes are much the same as Sanda's here! long live Goldenballs! (^_^) p/s: will other players have their own thread too? i know i tried to be fair with that question..but what's there to talk about (other players) anyway? cheers!
Becks in New York, last night So Becks was in New York last night, hope that doesn't interfere with practice. But I guess it was for a good cause. Anyway, do you think this is good or bad for the club?
Re: Becks in New York, last night good for the club, definitely. he's a grown man, a professional, and he's not being irresponsible...with this. irresponsible would be flying from england to LA and playing in a derby that same [following] day.
Re: Becks in New York, last night I think he has proven that he cares about this team and works his ass off for each game. Him being the captain has brought a new light to the team. It would be wrong of us to ask him to hibernate and stay home. He is a great ambassador for the sport and a great role model for kids. If he was in New York on Thursday or Friday, that would be a different story.
Re: Becks in New York, last night He was in NYC for a fashion event...granted the fashion event of the NY season but he should not have been there, nor should he have granted leave to go. That was an absurd decision, on par with playing in last Super Classico as was pointed out above. He in no way takes his responsibilities with the Galaxy seriously and has shown an enormous amount of disrespect and distain for having to be involved. He was awful at the Super Classico to the point where Chivas stopped marking him in the second half. It is awful for the club has it continues to fuel the specualtion that he is not doing this to grow the game in the US but to grow Brand Beckham..
