Well, I'm one of those who lived through Beatle Mania and still like my old vinyl versions of those records. Pitchfork says only people like me should have this set and I agree that I want it. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/b/beatles/capitol-albums-vol-1.shtml I like having the records on cd since they're portable. I realize that Capitol really messed around with the Beatles' albums, but I like hearing what I grew up with. I may be a sucker and buy this.
I can see the logic in doing this, since most of the world did the same thing with the Beatle releases (slice and dice to get as many LPs out in the market). I liked the fact that the Fabs had ensured only the UK editions came out when they released their stuff on CD, but I know a lot of Beatle fans who didn't like how they abandoned the Capitol releases. This should make them happy, although in the end its another way for the Beatles to plunder our pockets for money.
