I know they already won the league (and there's Landon Donovan discussions to rehash for the 9000th time), so no one is paying much attention. But PSV are playing right now at Twente Enschede, and DMB started - along with Farfan and VofH. Interesting that PSV don't really seem to be resting too many regulars today. No score as yet.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Halftime, still 0-0. 2 yellows for Twente. Farfan was subbed off in the 23rd, so one would think some sort of injury. Could be bad news for PSV ahead of the 2nd leg of the CL semis. Then again, it could mean DMB may be more likely to start rather than coming on as a super sub. Who knows.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] ********. no matter any way you spin this it isn't a good thing if Farfan is injured.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] And a flurry of activity! Van Bommel comes off for Vogel in the 57th, followed by 3 goals in less than 10 minutes. Jason Culina (62) to make it 1-0 Twente, Gerald Sibon (67) for PSV to tie it at 1-1, then Sharbel Touma (69) as Twente retake the lead 2-1. Too bad I'm just looking at the soccernet stats page, and have no idea what's really going on in the game.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] 88' - Beasley is down after crashing into Majstorovic. Beasley took a studs up kick across the shin, and is being carted off in agony. Hiddink holds his hand to his head as he sends Van der Schaaf on for Beasley.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Horrible injury from the TV crew repeating it over...I wouldn't be surprised if Beasleys year is over....serious looking new injury..I'm surprised if his ACL is done
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Jesus F-ing Christ. I hope this isn't too serious. Beasley's been such a resilient player so far in his young career. A bad injury could turn that trend around very quickly.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] I gotta ask - why was Guus Hiddink playing 2 of his top 3 wingers in a MEANINGLESS MATCH???????????? now it seems that both Farfan and Beasley will be out against Milan. wtf was he thinking?
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Hey if Piotr Nowak can do that kind of stuff, then Gus Hiddink can too.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] ********ing hell bitches, ******** you Twente, what the ******** was hiddink thinking?
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] When I first looked at the lineup I was really surprised at how many regulars they had out there, not just DMB and Farfan, but Von Bommel and Cocu and VofH and Lee, etc.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] oh ********, oh ********, oh ********, oh ********, oh ********. please be okay. pleaaaaseeeeee.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Fresh Babel fish translation from PSV's site. Worrisome for PSV are blessures for Jefferson Farfán and DaMarcus Beasley. In already too attractive first half the Peruviaan from after wide twenty minutes did not fall. Plane for time touched Beasley after a collision with antagonist Majstorovic injured. It is unclear still how seriously both players there to are. Especially Beasley seemed much have pain in mind.
Re: Beasley - Twente vs. PSV - 4/29/2005 [R] Holland curses Americans with injuries.... JOB and Berhalter and now....
