Are there any plans for the "Beneliga"?

after sibon left, farfan moved to the #9 spot and DMB played the right - park played the left today, which was somewhat mindboggling and pretty useless

No, not really. Every now and then this pops-up though. I think the first attempt will be a combination of the Dutch and Belgian cup in a few years time.

Well they have the Greeks Tuesday and Feyenoord Sunday.

Here's hoping Bease gets a full 90 in the CL.

Given that Gus will want to sink Feynoord for good for the season, he may "rest" some players. Has Park had a break except for the red?

I'm also ooking forward to the Dubai tourney at the end of winter break.. Beaser should get some time there against Barca, Boca, and Beyern.

Nice pass. People were saying that he doesn't set up goals recently/

    Two in a row.

Very unselfish.....then again, it was his right foot. The right choice.

What do I know, plus he scored, but it seemed to me that Farfan should have slipped it to Beasley for the tap in on the 4-0

Yeah, after seeing the video I thought that if DMB was running from the left it would have been his goal. Even so, most players would have taken that shot themselves. It was great vision for him to pick Farfan out on the fly like that (although Farfan may have called for it).

Pretty nice ball control before his assist; used the outside of his right foot on his way to the penalty box; didn't let the ball get away from him; sprinted at full speed from step one; quality pro play.

Just be picky. He did let the first touch slowed him down a little. Of course, the slow down is not as long as he used to do in MLS. Normally, I don't worry him let the ball get away from him, more worry about him let the ball dragging him down. :)

thanks for posting the goals - that first goal was perhaps the oddest goal i have ever seen i mean the psv players were all standing offside and the keeper decided to give the ball to the player i mean wow

After seeing Alex's goal, I think the graafschap's GK had a pile of money on PSV scoring first.

Bottom line, Farfan is a better player than DMB is. Farfan has more spice.

That first goal by Alex was an odd goal to sya the least. It seems as if the Graafschap (sp) keep had pounced on the ball and landed on the ball in his side. Somehow as he moved, the ball squirted out. Needless to say, the keeper fooked that up badly.

I still can't understand that one

Yeah, that one sure looks like a top contender for match-fixing accusations. I can't think of any goalkeeper in any top level league (let alone a high-school game) who would place the ball like that to be nicely pounced upon.

    Better at what?

    Better forward? Yes.

Better at playing left winger in a 4-3-3 as PSV does? ... Probably.

    Better overall player? Maybe

Better at left mid in a 4-4-2? No

    except this:

 African? Beasley is from Fort Wayne, Indiana. From Beasley's quote it's obvious that they meant to say American, but the editor's failure to catch that is strange.

Indeed. It is pretty useless to me comparing the two as they are both great players period. PSV is lucky to have them. Sure Beas could be playing more but getting some minutes between Farfan sure beats sitting on the bench on some mega-team.

i have to disagree. ive been watching farfan for 2 years and i believe is a better player than dmb. however, despite playing the same position at psv, they are very different players.
