Bayern really let the draw get away from them against Juve in the CL, maybe that will have the Bavarians gunning for the surprisingly solid Hannover 96 side. My prediction is a 2-1 Bayern win with Pizarro and Makaay scoring. I pray that this match is televised in the USA.

0:2, Beckenbauer and Rummenigge come in at half time to up the tempo of a lacklustre side with Ballack not giving a rats ass about the game as usual and Makaay still not able to score. The goals have been let in by Kahn blunders and Magath decides to give Sepp Maier a chance to impress in the 55th minute and does well not to increase the humiliating score.

Ok what the hell is up with the Bears? My Vikings look good, but will choke soon or later. That's what happens when you have no defense. And to think we use to have the best defense.

The Black & Blue Division needs to step up

As long as you put Maier in there, why not der Bomber?

I am going to predict FCB 0 - 2 Hannover 96. Bayern will be looking at a nill-nill draw until the 80th minute when one of the defenders makes a horrible mistake and Bayern concedes the 0 - 1. A few minutes later as Bayern searches desperately for an equaliser they will be hit on the counter for the 0 - 2.

In the next 24 hours the entire first team will come down with food poisoning so Bayern have to field the reserve team. They win 3-1! What follows are endless discussions on who should be in the first team and why certain people should be let go. Are we going in circles? my head hurts. I guess I should stop spinning around in my chair here at work - people are starting to look at me funny.

A stiff wind could put the entire midfield out of commission and on the injured list. Lets hope for sunny and balmy.

Da Bearz.... injuries have killed this season. Should have picked up Kurt Warner when we had the chance. At least my Red Sox won!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, enough of the other football, lets talk Saturday. Munich will win this one, simply because the bench will play and rise to the occasion. Of course this is barring any Kahn blunders. Guerraro will play if not start and will score the winner.

    I hope. =]

    Hummmm....

Goals by Makaay and Guerraro with Scholl as the creative midfielder. Scholl with a "klasse-pass" to Makaay hitting from 10 meters. Then a "klasse tor" by Guerraro after Salihamidzic's pass finds Makaay who picks out the young Peruvian. Sounds like a great outing overall, and a "clean sheet" for the patch-work defense.

Did any watch this match?? Please fill me in on the players that stepped up.

I predicted a victory from the hungry "bench" and low and behold, what do we have? 3 delicious points and a trouncing of Wolfsburg to put the boys into second place, one point off Wolfsburg and two ahead of idle Shalke and three ahead of Stuttgart... both of whom play tomorrow.

I standcorrected... Ballack and Frings were switched (FINALLY!).

From FCBAYERN.DE --"With Lucio and Thomas Linke suspended and injuries accounting for Andi Görlitz and Willy Sagnol the back four had an unfamiliar look. Martin Demichelis made a first start of the season alongside Robert Kovac at centre-half with Sammy Kuffour returning to the right-back slot.
Otherwise Felix Magath sent out the side which fell unluckily to Juventus in midweek, featuring a midfield diamond with Torsten Frings in the hole and Michael Ballack operating from deep."

Bayern Munich: Kahn - Kuffour, Demichelis, Kovac, Salihamidzic - Hargreaves (Jeremies 77), Ballack, Frings, Schweinsteiger (Scholl 46) - Makaay, Pizarro (Guerrero 67)

    ..........................Kahn
    Kuffour....Demichelis....Kovac....Salihamidzic
    ........................Ballack
    Hargreaves (Jeremies)...Schweinsteiger (Scholl)
    ........................Frings
    .............Makaay..........Pizarro (Guerrero 67)

Hahahahaa I have never seen a Referee give a second yellow to red and then decide to take it back after speaking to the linesman.

Talking about Ballack getting a second yellow to red then later the yellow was given to Schweinsteiger.

    Funny stuff.

The score was nice, but it wasn't such a great game. Bayern had two or three strong phases, but most of the game not very impressive.
The outstanding player was definetly Makaay, 1 goal (plus one that didn't count, though it had to) and two assists..
Good were also Frings, Scholl, Pizarro and Salihamidzic.

it's really funny that the referee gave ballack the red card at first and then change his decision :D

Makaay should have had 3 goals today. one goal seems to be valid from Ballack's nice chip but was flagged for offside  . The other chance is he's one on one with the goal keeper, totally unmarked but the volley is just off the pole.

Anyhow, Makaay is man of the match today, with 1 goal and 2 assists ;) . Kiiiing roy is back.

Frings seem to play a more attacking role than Ballack and somehow it shows that it's the right decision as ballack on the back has some delicious pass and frings frequently go forward more often.

I don't know why Magath took Pizzaro out in 67rd minute, is he injured again  . I hope not.

    ---------------Kahn
    Kuffour---Kovac---Demichaelis---Salihamidzic
    --------------Ballack
    ---Hargreaves-------------Schweinsteiger
    -------------Frings
    ------Pizarro-------- Makaay

Now finally we're settled in the role between Ballack and frings as well as a good game for Guerrero, makaay, pizza. So all the hassles are clear, the midfielders and the strikers should be stable from now on. I don't worry at our back 4 as we have plenty of great talents there.
